STARBASE Oklahoma’s mission is to stimulate interest and improve the knowledge and skills of at-risk youth in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This initiative can help provide for a highly educated and skilled Oklahoma workforce meeting the advanced technological requirements of the Department of Defense and STEM industries in Oklahoma. STARBASE Oklahoma 2.0 is a STEM (Scie

nce, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) mentoring program for sixth and seventh grade students targeting schools with high percentages of low income and minority students. The mission is to combine STEM activities with a relationship rich, school-based environment to provide a missing link for at-risk youth making the transition from elementary to middle school.
