Over the past several years, Choregus has provided numerous free educational performances and last week's community offerings were especially remarkable. Diavolo Dance Theater hosted workshops in local public schools- spreading the buzz before their educational performance on May 18th at the Tulsa PAC, Chapman Music Hall. Project CREATES had the opportunity to bring all K-6th grade students from Re*****on Elementary, a Project CREATES partner school, to the Chapman Theatre for this exciting show.

Ari Christopher, Associate director of Project CREATES, joyfully recalls a Re*****on 5th grade girl who stopped her in the hallway two weeks before the Diavolo field trip to thank her. When Mrs. Christopher mentioned the workshops scheduled at Re*****on Elementary on May 15th and 17th, the student exclaimed, "You mean those famous dancers are coming here!?" Her amazement moved Christopher to tears. It was like the girl stood up taller and felt important because the 'famous dancers' were coming to her school.
