HOT OFF THE PRESS: New SYT Refresher Course is Live!

The new 20 minute Safeguarding Youth (SYT) Refresher course is Live.

If you have not taken the full 90 Minute course, you must take that first before you can take the refresher to get full SYT credit.

If your SYT is expired for 7 days or more, you must take the full 90 minute course again.

If you fail the course quiz on the refresher course with less than an 80% on your first attempt, you will be directed back to the full 90 minute course.

Take your aim at the Rising StarZ Sporting Clay Challenge!

Join us on September 5, 2026 at ZBASE – Jack Graves Sporting Clay Complex for an action-packed day designed for Venture Crews and Scouts, BSA ages 13+. Teams of 4–5 shooters will test their skills with warm-ups on 5-stand and wobble trap before tackling a 60-shot, 15-station sporting clays course.

💥 Ammo, targets, and shotguns are provided
💥 Teams and individuals welcome
💥 Day event only

Cost: $35/youth | $3/adult staff

We’re offering both CPR/AED and Wilderness & Remote First Aid (WRFA) at the Donald W. Reynolds Scout Resource Center.

CPR/AED: April 25 (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) – $100
WRFA: May 1–3 – $125
Both Courses: $225

Wilderness First Aid is required for high adventure trips like Philmont Scout Ranch, Florida Sea Base, Northern Tier, and Summit Bechtel Reserve.

CPR certification is required before taking Wilderness First Aid

CPR/AED: 4–12 participants
WRFA: 4–10 participants
