Some of you might have noticed that we already have our Christmas Tree up this year, and it’s for a special reason! 🎄

This year the bART Center for Music is hosting the Angel Tree for the Jane A. Malone Community Center at Chamberlain Park. You will see angel cards with children’s names, age, etc., listing something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read! If you take an angel (or a couple!), please remember to wrap each gift and then put them all in a bag together along with a list of what is inside (this is for their parents!).

We would like to request that everything be here by December 8th. The Annual Breakfast with Santa is at The Center on December 16th, at which time the parents can pick up the gifts to take home for Christmas Day.

Swipe left and you will see another photo that describes it all in detail! Feel free to take more than 1 if you are able; just be sure and let us know if something happens and you are unable to fulfill the gifts.

We are delighted to support our friends in the Chamberlain Park community and thank you in advance for anyone who wishes to participate!

We had a fantastic turnout at our Musicale this past Saturday! This time we did things a little differently. Yvonne Hazelton, new bART teaching artist, opened the Musicale with a useful and empowering workshop on how to properly prepare a performance, deal with pre-performance jitters, and being a good audience. Then, they followed the workshop with a performance to put everything into practice. We are so excited for our next Musicale in March 2024!

A big round of applause to Ms. Hazelton and all the students and teachers involved! 👏🎶

We would like to take a moment to officially thank WindSync for coming out again to open up their rehearsal to us on Saturday morning and extend a thanks to Chamber Music Tulsa for providing this wonderful opportunity to our community. We were also honored to be some of the first to hear Viet Cuong's brand new composition Flora and we at The bART extend a sincere thanks to him for allowing us a peek into his creative insights! Thank you as well to all who attended and to our volunteers, Alex Portillo, Josh Kallweit, Margaret Hope-Hernandez, and Linda Sullivan. We look forward to hosting similar events with Chamber Music Tulsa in the future!

Program Spotlight: Music Production 🎶

This past summer, a shiny new Music Production program began at The bART led by bART teaching artist Nathan Glaser, and it instantly became a hit!

Music production is the process of making music using a computer program known as a digital audio workstation (DAW). The primary focus of this course is to help students create music in a DAW from beginning to advance levels.

To learn more about our Music Production class, please visit the “Programs” page on our website: thebart.org. 🎧
