In 1984 at the Pan American Games, my dad, Wayman Tisdale shared the court with a young Michael Jordan. Jordan once said that Wayman’s presence helped him get through that moment in history.

My father wasn’t just part of greatness.
He poured into it.

His legacy isn’t only in the points he scored,
but in the lives he lifted.

Stepping into this role feels surreal. To carry my dad’s name and legacy forward in this way is both humbling and deeply personal. I’m grateful for my mom’s dedication that brought us here, and I’m ready to walk boldly into this next chapter with faith and purpose.

This is for him, for us, and for every family we’ll impact along the way.

Even in the midst of his hardest battles, my father never stopped encouraging others. He showed us what it means to keep God first, to speak life, and to walk in faith no matter the struggle. On this Sunday, I’m reminded that his strength wasn’t just in his music or on the court, it was in his unwavering trust in the Lord. As his daughter, I hold on to that legacy. As Executive Director of the Wayman Tisdale Foundation, I carry it forward so others can be uplifted the same way he uplifted us. 🙏🏾
