DISTRICT 1: WE WANT PERFORMANCE, NOT JUST PROMISES!
Why do voters challenge an incumbent Councilor? Because when elected officials fail to meet expectations, the people have every right to demand change. Accountability is the foundation of democracy.
But before we demand change in District 1, shouldn't we take a hard, honest look at the performance of our current Councilor, Vanessa Hall-Harper, and compare her record with the promises of Dr. Wilson's C3 Movement for Change?
Vanessa Hall-Harper has a record that deserves examination. From fighting for grocery access and helping bring attention to food insecurity to advancing affordable housing initiatives and addressing neighborhood infrastructure, her work gives District 1 residents concrete accomplishments to evaluate.
Now comes the question for C3: What specifically would change, how would it be accomplished, and what measurable results would District 1 residents receive?
A slogan can inspire a campaign, but a slogan alone cannot deliver results. Residents deserve specific plans, clear timelines, and accountability for promises made.
We have an old saying: “If it ain't broke, don't fix it.”
That doesn't mean an incumbent should never be challenged. It means change should be based on evidence, not simply the desire for something new.
DISTRICT 1, LET'S EXAMINE THE RECORD. LET'S QUESTION THE PROMISES. LET'S DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.
Our community deserves more than campaign slogans. We deserve results we can see, progress we can measure, and leadership that can explain what it has accomplished.
DISTRICT 1: PERFORMANCE MUST BE MEASURED. PROMISES MUST BE PROVEN. RESULTS MUST MATTER!
