What is TTC:
Many people living in Greater Tulsa are now readily familiar with the acronym TTC which stands for Tulsa Telugu Community Inc. Mission statement:
TTC is a nonpolitical organization established with a mission statement to preserve the Telugu Samskriti (Culture), Sampradayam (Tradition), and Sahithi (Literature) in Telugu speaking people of the Tulsa area. Background:
Since its incep
tion in 2013 TTC has grown into an organization working with a holistic approach of bringing all Telugu speaking people of the area under a common roof to cater to their cultural, social and literary needs. TTC comprises of an executive committee who serve for a term of two years and will be elected on a bi-yearly basis. Aims and Objectives:
In a nutshell it caters to the culture, heritage, social and literary needs of the Telugu people live in Greater Tulsa. TTC will organize and coordinate many activities to achieve the objectives below to
1. Perpetuate Telugu culture, literature, traditions, and values; integrating them into modern/ western life by transmit Telugu culture.
2. Involve with local community activities to integrate, mingle and support American Citizens.
3. Solicit, raise, and disburse funds for charitable, cultural, religious, and educational health activities directly or in cooperation with other non-profit organizations.
4. Raise funds for natural disasters either directly or in cooperation with other non-profit organizations.
5. Promote the understanding of Indian heritage, literature, art, culture, music, dance, and drama among the children of Telugu-speaking people.
