Today Land Legacy filed a lawsuit against the owners of land in Osage County for violating an easement that prohibits the development of the Google Data Center planned for Sand Springs. In 2013 the Ringle family signed a contract with our company to protect the land from industrial development then hid this information from the developers and the city.

This lawsuit is exactly what my employer, Land Legacy, does. We identify undeveloped land and offer landowners substantial tax deductions to agree to keep the land as untouched as possible. We are not anti-builders but believe this is beautiful land in Osage Hills, and we are going to court to protect it. This is not the place to build a massive 3.5 million square foot building.

This is a special screening of a wonderful film about activists fighting for wild salmon. The movie is called "The Wild" and is being released on World Fish Migration Day.

The film helps bring awareness and has won awards at all the top film festivals. This is a special release and 25% of the funds from ticket sales goes to a coalition fighting for Bristol Bay.

Here is a link to the Tulsa World story this morning about a project that Land Legacy has been working on for a while. If it comes to fruition, it will provide land for a new park to be built behind Lowe's and Staples stores at 71st and highway 169.
