DAV Chapter 32 & Auxiliary Unit 32

Good morning!! Happy Veterans Day!!! We are beyond grateful for all of you Veterans and for your service to our great nation!! Your sacrifice doesn’t go unnoticed by us here at the DAV Chapter 32.

Today is gonna be a big day for us so please bear with me. I’m getting everything setup for today’s dinner (starts at 4). Every Veteran will receive an “I serve” sticker with your branch on it as well as a raffle ticket. Raffles will be going on every 20-30 minutes with the last one being done around 8:45. They close at Golden Corral at 9pm. Make sure you come see us!! We are at the one at 71st and Mingo. We would love to see y’all!!

AND….. we have the media coming out at 4pm to the office for the presentation of the flag poles. JC will be out there so come by and see him before he heads up to Golden Corral. We are beyond excited for the flag poles to be done!! I wish I could be there but I haven’t figured out how to clone myself yet lol. We are appreciative of our first responders who themselves are Veterans too. They are truly amazing and we really do have the best first responders serving our community.

Flag poles were put up yesterday evening!! I haven’t got to see them but I have been informed that they look awesome!! The 4th pole will be installed in January since they didn’t have a 4th pole in stock. I’m beyond excited to see them and can’t wait for us to be able to put flags back up!! Getting told that they were installed yesterday made me cry some more. Once again, we are so beyond appreciative of our amazing first responders/Veterans who made this happen.

Good morning yall!! Just a few things real quick.

Our flag poles are getting installed this weekend!! Whoohoo!! When I say we have the most amazing first responders (who are Veterans as well), I TRULY mean that. I know I can’t be grateful for them and their love for our country. There will be a presentation on Tuesday 11/11 at 4pm with news crews out there if anyone wants to be there for it. I won’t be there (I’ll be at Golden Corral) but some of our board members will be there. I’m so excited and I know it’s gonna be amazing!! Again thank you to those who have stepped in and made this possible for us. We are forever grateful of you!!

The Golden Corral dinner starts at 4pm on 11/11. We are at the 71st and Mingo Golden Corral but that time is for all Golden Corrals.

Also I have some news that’s personal for me (Tessa). I’m officially stepping away as of Tuesday night after the Golden Corral event is over. My health has taken a very fast decline in the last couple of months. My body is needing me to get more rest and my appointments will be increasing here soon. I don’t want to overdo myself to the point where I won’t be here for my family. And right now, my family needs me to take care of myself. JC will be staying for the time being since he has several Veterans he is still helping get to their goals with their benefits. I am so beyond grateful for each one of my Veterans and their families. It’s a very bittersweet situation for me to walk away. I will still be doing the page so I can answer any questions for y’all and keep yall updated on everything going on. I still have a few things I need to do but I won’t be at the office after Tuesday night. I am sorry if this comes across as me letting down my Veterans and their families (I feel like I am) but that is nowhere my intention. I am just trying to take of myself so I can be around for my family. Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out to me if you need something. I will do my best to make sure someone is able to assist any and every Veteran. I will continue to keep yall updated about the flags and Golden Corral the next few days. Again thank yall for being wonderful!!

Hey guys, Rus just informed me that he won’t be able to get away from work this Thursday so we will be closed that day.

Mrs. J still plans to be at the office tomorrow from 9-1.

Brian is at the Vet Center in Sand Springs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-1.

Come see us at Golden Corral in Tulsa off of the north east corner of Mingo and 71st!! We are here everyday from open to close until November 11th. Their dinner is on Veterans Day. I don’t have a time yet but will post once I am told of a time. Come see us and if you see this video, let us know!!

Hey guys, Mrs. J just called me. Both Ron and her had an extremely rough night so she won’t be at the office today. We will be closed at the office.

BUT… Brian is at the Vet Center in Sand Springs today and Friday from 10-1.
Rus will be in the office tomorrow from 11:30-1.

We are so sorry about everything!!

We will be doing Golden Corral on 71st and Mingo from November 2-11. Their Military Appreciation dinner will be on Veterans Day!! I do not have a time yet. Once I know, I’ll post it. There was a conflict in which day they were gonna do it and decision was made yesterday for the Golden Corral we are gonna be at.

We are gonna stay closed on Tuesdays until Ron is able to be up there. Mrs. J is gonna stick to her Wednesdays and Rus will still be there on Thursdays. If anything changes for Mrs. J or Rus, I’ll let y’all know.

I have more updates on some things but once im done with some appointments today, I’ll post them.

There will be no meetings tomorrow evening. Between some of the board members being at the Fall SEC in Lawton and the storms, we will be skipping it.

JC will still be at the office on Saturday to do claim work even with the storms happening.

Hey guys, we will be open for sure tomorrow (Wednesday) from 9-1 and on Thursday from 11:30-1.

JC will be at the office on Saturday from noon to 3 to do claim work.

Don’t forget Brian is the Vet Center in Sand Springs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-1.

I’ll know for sure tomorrow about the meeting for Thursday. Once I do, I’ll post it.

Bear with me, we finally got all of our stuff done at our house with the ac and furnace. I’m trying to get caught up on things at home and at the DAV.
