For some unknown reason, FB will not allow us to answer messages sent to us. So let me say here: Yes! Come dance with us! First-timers dance for free, so you can try it out. You do not have to have a partner or already know how to dance. This is a good time to join; our group forgot many of our dances while we were shut down because of the pandemic, so we are remembering and relearning them. Hope to see you there!

March 8 will be our first of four afternoon dances in 2026, meeting from 3 to 5 pm instead of 6 to 8 pm. The other three afternoon dances will be

Tulsa International Folk Dancers is changing its meeting time. Starting with the dance scheduled for Feb. 8, 2026 we will meet from 6 to 8 pm, still on the second and fourth Sundays, and still at Danceworkz Studio at 2733-D South Memorial Drive, just north of I-44.

Starting on March 8, four dances per year will meet from 3 to 5 pm instead of from 6 to 8 pm. The other afternoon dances will take place

The December 13 afternoon dance will include a holiday party.

Starting in February, we will return to offering an annual membership of $20 per person. Members will continue to pay a $5 admission fee. Non-members will pay a $7 admission fee. Still a bargain, and much less than the price of a movie! As always, first-timers and children under 18 dance for free!

Tulsa International Folk Dancers has lost another of our founding members. Jackie Rickel passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25. She welcomed many new dancers into our community.

International Dance Fest at the GAST Center in Tulsa, at 15th and Terrace, April 13th, 3 pm.

We will be dancing Sunday, March 24, 7-9 pm. $5. Danceworkz Studio at 27th and Memorial.

Please note: we dance on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
March has 5 Sundays, so remember we do not dance “every other week”.
April dance nights will be April 14th and April 28th.

We are reviewing and relearning our repertoire of hundreds of traditional dances from cultures all over the world. so this is an especially good time to begin! Line dances, round dances, open dances, with a few mixers and couple dances, even a few American dances.
