North Texas mineral and royalty owners: what happens after an oil and gas deal closes can affect the records, communication, and decisions that follow.

The Dallas Fort Worth Association of Land & Title Analysts is hosting its 2026 Fall Seminar, “After the Deal: Navigating A&D Impacts Across Land, Title, & DOI,” on Thursday, October 22.

One session to watch: “Two Sides of the Table,” a conversation with Gordon Gallet of Elk Range Royalties and LaRae Sanders of Comstock Resources about land administration from both sides of the business. Other topics include title curative work, land data, due diligence, and post-closing considerations.

Enverus ranks leading U.S. land drillers and operators

The Midland Reporter-Telegram reports on Enverus' drilling report card, which ranks contractors and operators by footage drilled, well count, drilling rates, lateral lengths, and rig activity.

Enverus expects average drilling efficiency to decline slightly as new rigs are added in the second and third quarters.

Texas adds 400 upstream oil and gas jobs in June
The Midland Reporter-Telegram reports that Texas upstream employment continued to increase as exploration and production jobs extended their recent growth streak.
