Question: Despite being encouraged to sketch as many Route 66 sites as possible and requested to submit four copies of each sketch for consideration to be displayed in the exhibit, there is a chance that none of my work will be hung. Therefore, I am questioning whether the time, effort, and expense I’ved invested in this endeavor are justified.
Answer: To assist in answering your question, here are some helpful tips: If gallery space at USK Tulsa’s August 2026 Route 66 Centennial Exhibit allows, USk Tulsa intends to showcase at least one of each member’s submitted sketches. This exhibit will be held at Tulsa Community College’s McKeon Creativity Center Gallery. Additionally, all USk members’ eligible sketches will be sent to the other three USk Chapters hosting exhibits—Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Springfield, Missouri. Please be advised that the USk Chapters responsible for hosting the exhibits will select the sketches to be displayed. The sketches they select to exhibit may differ from the USk Tulsa selections.
