Wednesday night, Valor Priory held our stated meeting, and the education piece was "The Power of Words", where we discussed the importance of effective communication. Speaking confidently is a skill we use every day, whether in a presentation, job interview, or simple conversations. We all have the power to make a lasting impression on the people we speak with.

Last night at Valor's stated meeting, our Educational Presentation covered Leadership, the difference between managing and leading, and the qualities that make a good leader. This video summarizes many of these subjects. Simon Sinek is an author and inspirational speaker who consults with businesses on leadership and ethical practices. Well worth the watch. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next meeting, October 19th.

Valor Priory held their first official Stated Meeting tonight. The knights opened business, discussing various ways to recruit and raise funds. Priory Advisor Dad Chapman then gave a presentation on Historical, Medieval Knighthood and how it is exemplified in the DeMolay Order of Knighthood such as the Code of Chivalry. We then held a short Installation where Sir Knight Nathan England was installed as Illustrious Knight Commander and Sir Knight Noah Gerow was installed as Squire Commander! All in attendance then went to dinner. Great things are soon to come!

Welcome to the official page for Valor Priory, Order of Knighthood, which is the priory for the eastern half of Oklahoma. Meetings are held at Jenks Masonic Lodge on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Knighthood is an appendant body of the Order of DeMolay, comprised of older DeMolays age 16-21 who have served as Master Councilor or received the Degree of Chevalier. Knighthood is dedicated to giving back to DeMolay and offers older members a unique experience that elevates individual responsibility and better prepares them for their future as adults.
