The Winners Foundation

The Winners Foundation The Winners Foundation is dedicated to founding a no kill animal rescue sanctuary in Tulsa, OK. Our animals are disease free, groomed and trained.

If you would like to help us realize this vision, please click the FBML tab, click on the PayPal button and donate generously. THE WINNERS FOUNDATION has a simple mission: to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals. We execute our mission in a way that creates a three fold win.
• Animals win by being granted a second chance at life and finding loving forever homes;

• Those who adopt from TH

E WINNERS FOUNDATION win by welcoming well-trained and well-behaved pets into their family for a lifetime of unconditional love and companionship;

• Our community wins by reducing the number of strays and the costs associated with them along with earning the dignity of collectively affirming that all animals have a right to life regardless of their breed, prior environment, training (or lack thereof), or physical and/or mental disabilities. Additionally, our community projects will involve hiring the disabled, visiting hospitals, nursing homes, schools, jails and housing the pets of abused women. Our after school programs will positively impact students, helping to curb teen pregnancy, drug abuse, depression, teenage suicides and murders. WINNERS is not just another animal shelter; our standard is one others will emulate. They are not caged for the majority of their stay. They spend most of their waking time interacting with employees, volunteers and other animals in both indoor and outdoor facilities. This interaction ensures healthy well-adjusted animals for adoption.

OK, if I was a cruel person I'd take this little chihuahua to the pound, but he wouldn't pass their temperament test and would be killed. So, I'm gonna try here first. My kids have named him Bullet. My daughter found him abandoned and terrified in the laundrymat of our apartments. He was in a crate with no water and a bowl of chicken bones and cheerios. He also had a toy collar like the ones you get with a stuffed animal around his neck. It was so tight that it had cut into him and he had wounds on his neck from it. Best I can guess is that he is around 2yrs old (we found him a yr ago and he still had baby teeth). When we firs brought him in he was terrified and wouldn't come near anyone, but now he wants to be in someones lap all the time. He is a cuddler and loves attention. He is a kisser and will lick your face off if ya like that sort of thing. I have tried, but we cannot keep him. Our house is too busy for this nervous little boy. Someone has been very mean to this little guy and he is very skittish especially around new people or when he is asleep. For the most part he is used to us now, but he will attack when we leave the house and bite our pant legs. Don't really know why he does that. If you startle him when he's asleep he will come up growling and snapping but will cower and curl into a rolly-polly ball at your feet after he realizes what he's done.He is barely house trained, but if someone were able to be diligent he'd probably do ok (kids don't really take the time for him to do his business when they take him out). I really don't want to take him to the pound, but I can't have my children or our guests getting bit by this little guy who doesn't know any better. If anyone knows of a chihuahua rescue or would like to have him please contact me. We did get him shots and neutered (have records), and will send his crate and toys with whoever. Please help me keep him out of the pound.

Phantom is a black smoke (silvery stripes showing through the black). These might just be "kitten stripes" that go away as he gets older, or he may always be a smoke tabby. Phantom is adorable, but he has been overlooked for over 2 weeks now by everyone coming in to adopt. He was a tiny 6 week old baby when he arrived, but he finally has grown to a whopping 2 lbs (still pretty small but just big enough to be neutered today.)

This is Tupper. He looks like a giant Yorkie (giant is that he is probably 25 lbs and 17 inches). He is probably a silky terrier/wheaten terrier mix, maybe with some schnauzer, too. He was found wandering campus and is now looking for a new home.
