Construction is moving forward at Wilshire Trails, a 31-home development coming to 33rd Street North and Peoria. Footings have been poured on 10 homes, and Chad Wells Concrete is pouring the slabs, bringing these future homes one step closer to taking shape.

Next up: our biggest-ever Clark Howard Blitz Build on September 26, when walls for these 10 homes will be raised in a single day.

Welcome home, Janey!

Janey has spent years caring full-time for her two sons, including her oldest, who lives with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex 2, a genetic condition affecting his brain and heart. Between his medical care and rising rent, owning a home felt like something that only happened to other people.

"It's just been a struggle," Janey said. "It just kept getting too far out of our reach."

After seeing a news story about Green Country Habitat, Janey decided to apply. Now she and her sons — Alex, 14, and her oldest, 18 — are getting ready to move into a home of their own in Tulsa.

"If I can do this, anyone can do it," Janey said. "Having this wonderful outcome in the end, it's just so amazing."

Major infrastructure work happening at Wilshire Trails, a 31-home development coming to 33rd Street North and Peoria. That work included connecting the neighborhood to the City of Tulsa's sanitary sewer system after decades on septic.

Now, construction crews are pouring foundations ahead of our biggest-ever Clark Howard Blitz Build on September 26, where walls for 10 homes will be raised in a single day.
