Oklahoma's oldest and one of the nation's largest garden clubs, Tulsa Garden Club has evolved from a garden study club to an active civic organization. objectives to study and advance the art of gardening, horticulture, floral design, landscape design, and environmental sciences. Members gave perennials from their own gardens to Tuls

a Parks in 1931; the Club planted the first roses in 1935 and continues to supply new/replacement roses and ongoing maintenance for Tulsa Municipal Rose Garden through tributes received to the Rose Fund; purchased the Rose Garden's bronze sign; added four more terraces; sponsored incorporation of Tulsa Garden Center and purchase of the Travis mansion as its headquarters; helped organize other garden clubs, and supports formal and informal gardening education including youth gardening, gardening therapy, anti-litter, public educational flower shows, scholarships, conservation and roadside beautification, Up With Trees, Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden, and the state’s longest-running charitable tour of public and private gardens.
