We’re gearing up for our Annual Trunk or Treat at The HUB and we need YOU to host a trunk!

📅 Sunday, October 25
🕓 4–5pm (set-up by 3:15pm)
📍 The NW Tulsa HUB, 19 S. 49th W Ave.

Hosting a trunk is a fun way to get creative, give back, and bring smiles to hundreds of kids in our community! Here’s what to expect:
✨ Pick a theme and decorate your trunk (nothing scary or violent, please)
✨ Dress up to match your theme if you’d like
✨ Fun activity or game = bonus, but not required
✨ Bring enough candy for 300–400 kids/youth
✨ Families can even host a trunk together!

It’s all about **community, creativity, and fun** 💜

HUMAN TRAFFICKING "FACTS FROM THE FIELD"

MYTH
🚫 Traffickers only target people they do not know.

FACT
✅ Many victims are trafficked by someone they already know and trust.

Traffickers are often:

• A current or former romantic partner
• A family member
• A friend or acquaintance
• Someone met through school, work, or social activities
• An individual who builds trust through social media or online gaming before exploitation

Human trafficking frequently begins with grooming, where an offender intentionally builds trust, meets emotional or financial needs, and gradually gains control over a victim. Traffickers often use coercion, and fraud—not just physical force—to exploit vulnerable individuals.

Citizens and victims can get information, anonymously report suspected Human Trafficking, and access recovery assistance services by visiting OBN’s “YOU ARE NOT ALONE” human trafficking Resources page on the OBN website at https://www.obndd.ok.gov/programs-services/human-trafficking
