Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting Camp Watastota, where more than 100 Girl Scouts came together to collect items for OAA from our Amazon wish list during their week-long day camp.

These young ladies loaded up the vehicle with so many needed items, while others ordered items to be sent to our office directly off our wish list.

In a moment when many animals and their guardians require help, we are incredibly grateful for their generous support to OAA this year, enabling us to keep providing assistance for pets in need ♥️

Two vans. Four drivers. More than 2,800 miles.

All to save the lives of 86 animals.

Transport left last night around 8:00 PM headed to Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois…carrying animals who now have a chance at the lives they deserve.

Trips like this take an enormous amount of work, planning and collaboration. This transport included 5 different organizations sending animals, countless moving pieces and volunteers willing to give up their weekend to make it happen.

They’re also expensive…and OAA covers the majority of the cost for these lifesaving trips.

Please help support our transport efforts by donating below. Every dollar helps keep these wheels moving and gives more animals a chance to go home.

Celebrate National Foster a Pet Month with Loving Paws Pet Play Dates!

Throughout the entire month of June, Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is partnering with Hartz () and Greater Good Charities to bring the Loving Paws Pet Play Dates program to our community.

This special nationwide initiative gives shelter pets a much-needed break from kennel life while helping more people discover the joys of fostering and volunteering. Best of all, play dates are completely free of charge thanks to the support of Hartz Loving Paws and Greater Good Charities.

Volunteers can stop by our offices, choose a pet and spend an afternoon together. Whether it's a walk, a trip to the park, a pup cup outing or simply some one-on-one time, these experiences help pets relax, build confidence, and increase their chances of finding a foster or forever home.

If you've ever considered fostering, volunteering, or adopting, a Pet Play Date is the perfect way to get involved and make a difference in the life of a shelter pet.

Join us this June and help give a shelter pet their best day yet!

Mabel needs our help.

She was found standing alone in the middle of the road at 91st and Garnett as cars sped past her…honking, swerving, and dodging her, but not stopping. Weak, exhausted and unable to keep going, Mabel was running out of time.

Thankfully, one Good Samaritan contacted our office and we rushed right over there.

That single act of kindness saved her life.

Mabel was brought to our veterinary partners at Alta Vista Animal Hospital & Pet Lodge where we quickly learned just how much she has been suffering. Both of her ears are infected and swollen completely shut. She also has a growth on her v***a and another on her foot, both of which will need to be surgically removed.

We don’t know how long Mabel has lived with this pain. We don’t know how she ended up alone in the middle of a busy street. We only know that she desperately needed help and now she has it.

But she needs more than rescue.

She needs medical care.

She needs surgery.

She needs people willing to stand beside her while she heals.

Her veterinary expenses are already climbing and will continue to grow as we treat her infections, run diagnostics and schedule the procedures she needs. We are asking for your help to give Mabel the second chance she deserves.

Please donate if you can.

Every dollar helps. Every share matters. Every act of kindness moves Mabel one step closer to a life without pain.

The world passed Mabel by when she stood helpless in the middle of that road.

Let’s show her she isn’t alone anymore. ❤️🐾

Meet Steven...the sweetest little shadow you could ever ask for.

Steven is a calm, loving boy who has truly blossomed in foster care. He’s learned that life is full of fun adventures, cozy snuggles, and apparently… vegetables are AMAZING. His favorite snacks include carrots, romaine lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and bell peppers...basically a tiny health-conscious king.

Steven absolutely adores people and has the cutest habit of staring lovingly at his person like you’re the most important thing in the world. He gets so excited when you come home and is always ready to celebrate your arrival with happy energy and tail wags. He also loves playing with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine buddy to romp around with.

But once playtime is over, Steven is all about relaxation. He’ll happily curl up beside you for naps, bedtime, or a full movie marathon. In fact, he might just be the best movie-watching companion around.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, snuggly best friend who will love you endlessly and share your snacks (especially veggies), Steven is your guy.

🐾 Volunteers Needed…Dogs Waiting 🐾

If you’ve got an hour to spare this week or next, we’d love for you to come spend it with one of our dogs.

Life in boarding is hard. No matter how clean the kennel is, how much food they have, or how much we love them, it’s not a home. Many of our dogs spend 23 hours a day in a kennel waiting for someone to notice them.

A walk. A car ride. A few minutes of sniffing the grass. Some one-on-one attention. Those things may seem small to us, but they mean everything to a dog who spends most of their day behind a kennel door.

Not only does it brighten their day, but it also helps reduce stress, improves their behavior, and gives us photos and videos that help them get adopted. The dogs who get out, socialize, and have people advocating for them are often the dogs who find homes the fastest.

Whether you can come once, twice, or every day this week, we need you. Bring a friend, bring your kids, bring your walking shoes.

These dogs are waiting for someone to choose them, even if it’s just for an hour.

If you’d like to volunteer with our Dog Walkers Club and help give our boarding dogs a break, send us a message or comment below and we’ll get you started.

❤️ Because sometimes a walk isn’t just a walk…it’s hope. 🐾

Woof Wednesday: Meet Brad Pit ❤️

Some dogs come into rescue carrying the weight of their past. Brad Pit is one of them.

For the first four years of his life, Brad Pit lived chained to a tree. No soft bed. No couch naps. No family to call his own. Just a chain and a life far too small for a dog with so much love to give.

And yet somehow, despite everything he’s been through, Brad Pit is one of the sweetest, most well-mannered dogs you’ll ever meet.

He’s fully potty trained, crate trained, knows how to sit and shake, and is always eager to please his people. His favorite pastime? Finding the comfiest spot in the house and settling in for a long, peaceful nap. After four years on a chain, we think he’s earned it.

Brad Pit would prefer to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself. He’d thrive in a calm household with older children or an adults-only home where he can enjoy the quiet life he’s always deserved.

What Brad Pit wants isn’t complicated. A soft bed. A full belly. A family who loves him. A place where he’ll never be tied to a tree again.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and an appreciation for the simple things in life, Brad Pit may be your perfect match.

Please share and help us find this deserving boy the forever home he’s waited far too long for. ❤️🐾
