Last weekend our Scouts participated in the national Scouting for Food program and collected 224 pounds of food for the Tualatin Food Pantry!

In Scouting, we understand service can be a fun group activity. The Scouts had a blast distributing door hangers and collecting the community’s generous donations. We’re looking forward to next year and hope you’ll join us! Troop530.org

Proud to serve the Tualatin community!

Scouting America Troop 530’s “Scouting for Food” was a success! The Troop collected 224 pounds of food to support TFP! Thank you to the troop members and leaders for their service! 🥫🍽️🥫

Scouting for Food is this Saturday, March 7th! Troop 530 will be picking up donations within the boundaries of Boones Ferry, Blake, Martinazzi and Avery. Please have donations outside and clearly marked "Scouting for Food" by 9am!

If you live outside that boundary, we will be accepting drop-off donations at Tualatin Presbyterian Church between 9 and 10 am.

🚆 Troop 530 took on Portland’s 4T Trail — hiking, riding the tram, train, and trolley to explore the city in a whole new way. It was a full day of adventure, great views, and teamwork along the way. A fun way to see what makes Portland unique! 🌲

Troop 530 spent the weekend at Butte Creek for an overnight and horseback ride. 🐴 It was a good time outdoors with plenty of fresh air and a great way for Scouts to spend time together. 🌲

🌲 Another successful year for Troop 530’s Tree Recycling Fundraiser! Our Scouts worked hard collecting and recycling trees throughout Tualatin — and the community showed up big with their support. Huge thanks to everyone who donated and helped make this effort such a success! Your support keeps our troop active, learning, and growing. 🙌

💫Troop 530 is starting something new! Once a month, we’ll get together for a day of fun and friendship — a chance to hang out, try something different, and invite friends to see what being a Scout is all about. This month’s activity was bowling, and everyone had a great time just relaxing and connecting. Looking forward to the next one! 🎳🌲

❄️ Troop 530 enjoyed a chilly but fun weekend at Winter Lodge! While there wasn’t quite enough snow for the planned sledding, our Scouts kept the energy up — connecting with other troops, checking out Timberline Lodge, and soaking in the winter setting. ❆☃️

Leadership is what keeps Scouting strong! 🌲✨
Troop 530 wrapped up a successful Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) event this weekend — a huge step in helping our Scouts grow as confident, capable leaders. Each Scout took on challenges, learned teamwork, and discovered how great leadership starts with service. 💪

These important events remind us to take a step back from our daily routine to appreciate and celebrate the achievements and hard work of our Scouts over the last several months.
