The Tulare Astronomical Association: Peña Planetarium Show & Outreach event on Friday, April 24th. We had a great turnout for this one! Given that the Planetarium shows were conducted earlier in the day and with the extended daylight hours in the early evening, our primary focus once again was on solar observation, utilizing solar filters and specialized telescopes to view the sun and had great views of the moon.

Thanks to all those who came and participated at Saturday Night's (June 7th) TAA Public Star Party! Even though we had a low turnout, we had a great, cool evening with a clear sky with spectacular views of the Moon, the Herculus Cluster, the Ring Nebula, and more! The public star parties will reconvene in September due to the summer heat during the months of July and August.

The TAA Club enjoyed a successful evening at Ivanhoe's School Space-Based Literacy Night on Wednesday, March 19th. Approximately 100 students and family members attended the event from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. While the moon remained hidden, the telescopes offered stunning views of the local mountain ranges. We extend our sincere gratitude to TAA Club Officers and members Reece and Tina Williford, and Gregory and Christine Lipscomb for their enthusiastic participation and dedication to sharing the wonders of astronomy with the community.
