If I was preaching this Father’s Day, my message would be simple but powerful: “Men, Let the Lord Fix It.”

Because truth is—we’ve all been broken in some way. We carry wounds from childhood, pain from broken marriages, silence from distant children, the weight of jobs that drain us, and yes, even church hurt that cuts deep.

But here’s the good news: God is still in the business of restoration. 🙌🏾
He specializes in fixing what we thought was beyond repair.

So to every man trying to hold it all together—stop trying to be the glue.
Let the Lord fix every piece. Every scar. Every silent tear.
From your family to your finances, from your past to your purpose—LET HIM FIX IT.

This Father’s Day, that would be my cry from the pulpit:
Men, it’s okay to let go… and let God do the mending.

“When we look at the condition of our nation, we see a mirror of the state of the church. Because the church has become divided, so has our country. Our divisions often arise over issues that aren’t matters of salvation or eternal consequence, yet we let them separate us. In the process, we have relinquished the influence God intended for us to have in this world.

The Bible calls the church the ‘light of the world’ and the ‘salt of the earth.’ But how can we fulfill that calling when we’re fractured and unfocused? Our true power lies in unity, standing together on the foundation of God’s Word and focusing on what matters most – faith, love, and hope. When the church realigns itself, grounded in God’s purpose, the nation will follow suit. Let’s reclaim our rightful place and be the guiding light we were meant to be.”

Dear Preachers,

I appreciate all the wisdom you share, but I feel there’s a message we need to look at more deeply. Often, when talking about being “unequally yoked,” we focus on believers being with unbelievers. But the truth is, it goes beyond that.

Being unequally yoked can also mean two people who both believe in God but have different beliefs, values, or spiritual walks. Just because two people are “believers” doesn’t mean they’re aligned in how they live out that faith, how they see God, or how they serve Him. And if there’s no harmony in that walk, it can create just as much distance and conflict as if one partner didn’t believe at all.

This is why Scripture says, “How can two walk together unless they agree?” It’s about sharing a path, a purpose, and a vision for faith that’s unified. Otherwise, it’s like trying to go in two different directions while yoked together—it leads to struggle and a lack of peace. I hope we can start having more conversations that help believers see that being equally yoked is about alignment in every aspect of faith, not just whether or not someone believes.

Thank you for all that you do to guide us, and thank you for opening up these important conversations!
