❤️ **We are currently in need of mobility equipment for our guests!**

We are accepting donations of **wheelchairs, walkers, and walking canes** that are in good, usable condition.

Donations can be dropped off **Monday through Friday between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.**

Every donation helps us better support our guests and makes a real difference for someone who needs a little extra help getting around. ❤️

❤️ Our community has been absolutely amazing, and we are so thankful for all of the donations we have received!

At this time, we are **fully stocked on many items**, so we are asking that any new donations please focus on the specific needs listed on the flyer below. These are the items our guests and families are needing the most right now.

We are so thankful to have California Better2Getter partnering with us! 💜 We’re excited to have them volunteering alongside us and can’t wait to see what the future holds. We are already looking forward to Thanksgiving and finding more ways to work together to support our guests and our community. So grateful for people who are willing to step up, get involved, and make a difference. We truly are better together! 💜

We have been truly overwhelmed by the generosity and support our community has shown Tulare CARES Emergency Shelter. Because of your incredible response, **we are currently fully stocked and are not in need of any additional donated items at this time.**

We are so grateful to every individual, family, business, and organization that has donated. Your kindness has helped us make sure our guests have the items they need, and we cannot thank you enough for showing up for our shelter and the people we serve.

As our needs change, we will continue to post updates and let the community know when specific items are needed again.

❤️🐾 DID YOU KNOW? 🐾❤️

Tulare CARES Emergency Shelter is more than a place to sleep — it’s a place where people can begin working toward what comes next.

We serve men, women, couples, and families with children, and we know that for many people, their pets are family too. 🐶🐱

Our guests have access to housing navigation and support with things like obtaining documents, applying for benefits, connecting to community resources, searching for housing, and working toward greater stability.

Every person who walks through our doors has a different story and different needs. Our goal is to meet people where they are and help them take the next step forward. ❤️

🐾❤️ **Happy National Dog Day!** ❤️🐾

Today we want to give a very special shoutout to Tulare Animal Services and Friends of Tulare Animal Services for everything they do for the animals in our community — and for the support and collaboration they have shown Tulare CARES Emergency Shelter.

We know that for many of the guests we serve, their dog isn’t “just a pet.” They are family, a best friend, a source of comfort, and sometimes the one constant they have had through some of the hardest moments of their lives. 🐶❤️

Being able to welcome guests with their dogs is something that is very important to us, and having community partners who understand that makes such a difference.

We are incredibly thankful for Tulare Animal Services and Friends of Tulare Animal Services and appreciate everything they do to care for animals in our community. We’re looking forward to continuing this partnership as we serve our guests — both the two-legged and four-legged ones! 🐾🏠

🚨 WE’RE ALMOST THERE! 🚨
It’s Thursday, and the countdown is officially ON! Tulare CARES Emergency Shelter opens Monday! ❤️🏠
Here are a few quick behind-the-scenes videos of our facility as our team works hard to get everything ready. There are still boxes being unpacked, beds being made, supplies being organized, and plenty of last-minute details happening all around us—but it is all coming together!
After so much planning, preparation, hard work, and teamwork, it’s pretty incredible to see this space getting ready to welcome our guests.
We still have a busy few days ahead of us, but Monday is almost here! 🙌
We can’t wait to show you the finished facility. ❤️

👕🧦 **CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED!** 🧥👶

Tulare CARES Emergency Shelter is currently in **urgent need of clothing donations**, especially as we prepare to serve more individuals and families in our community.

Our **greatest needs right now are:**
❤️ **Men’s clothing** — all sizes
❤️ **Baby clothing** — newborn and up
❤️ **Toddler & children’s clothing** — **ALL sizes**

We are also **always happy to accept women’s clothing**, although our current need is not as high.

We can use shirts, pants, jeans, jackets, underwear, socks, shoes, pajamas, and other everyday clothing essentials.

**All donated clothing must be NEW or gently used, CLEAN, and in GOOD condition.** Please only donate items you would feel comfortable giving to a friend or family member. ❤️
