Washington Youth Soccer Foundation

Washington Youth Soccer Foundation The Washington Youth Soccer Foundation was established in 2016 to increase opportunities and access to youth soccer for underserved youth and communities.

Established in 2016 to support the future of youth soccer in Washington, the Washington Youth Soccer Foundation will provide 800 elementary school students in South King County elementary schools with a free after-school soccer program for the 2017-2018 school year through the Soccer for Success program. We're also building an endowment to grow the community fields necessary to offer soccer in eve

ry community. Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer Foundation's innovative youth development program that uses soccer as a tool to combat childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles for children in low-income urban communities. The Soccer for Success program provides each school three 90 minute after-school sessions for two twelve-week seasons (fall/spring). Through the Soccer for Success program grant, the Washington Youth Soccer Foundation and U.S. Soccer Foundation are partners in growing local grassroots soccer.

From Washington to the world stage 🌎⚽💚

This spring, 56 students at Bow Lake Elementary in Highline Public Schools participated in a Washington Youth Soccer Foundation afterschool program focused on soccer, nutrition, confidence, and community.

Now, 27 of those students will have the opportunity to serve as Player Es**rts during the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

We’re proud to help create opportunities that connect the global game to local communities, and even prouder to see these young athletes representing Washington on soccer’s biggest stage. ✨ FWC26Seattle

Thank you to Common Goal for helping make moments like this possible.

Soccer has the power to create opportunities that reach far beyond the pitch ⚽💚

Through a partnership between Quaker and Common Goal, more than 30 organizations across the United States are helping connect young people to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Player Es**rt Program while also expanding access to community-based programming focused on nutrition, wellness, and the game itself.

Here in Washington, WYSF partnered with Bow Lake Elementary in Highline Public Schools District to deliver a 6-week afterschool program centered around soccer skills, nutrition, and community.

We’re proud to see 27 local students selected to represent our community as FWC26Seattle Player Es**rts.
