Browse a variety of home goods, clothes, and furniture while supporting local history. Every purchase helps fund the Tukwila Historical Society's programs and preserves our community's stories for future generations.

The Tukwila Historical Society is honored to introduce our July Stories of Arrival guest speaker, Judge Kimberly A. Walden.

Judge Walden has served as the City of Tukwila's Municipal Court Judge since 2003, becoming the first woman to hold the position and widely recognized as Washington State's first Filipino American judge. Born in Cavite City, Philippines, and raised between the Philippines and the United States, her journey has been shaped by resilience, service, leadership, and a deep commitment to community. From serving as a U.S. Army Captain in the Military Police Corps to building a distinguished legal and judicial career, Judge Walden has dedicated her life to ensuring justice is accessible, fair, and rooted in compassion.

We invite you to join us as Judge Walden shares her inspiring Story of Arrival—from her childhood in the Philippines to becoming a trailblazing leader in Tukwila—and the experiences that continue to shape her commitment to public service, representation, and opening doors for future generations.

The Tukwila Historical Society wanted to give a special thank you to Soul Fusion Food Truck for partnering with us and the City of Tukwila during our America's 250th Celebration. 🍔🌭🍟

Keith and his team did a phenomenal job serving burgers, hot dogs, desserts, and even popsicles to everyone who attended. Their hard work, kindness, and dedication did not go unnoticed, and we truly felt they deserved a special post of their own.

We are incredibly grateful to support such an amazing local Tukwila small business that helped bring our community together over great food and even greater company. Thank you for being part of such a memorable day!

This past weekend, the Tukwila Historical Society proudly hosted America’s 250th Celebration, welcoming more than 250 residents for a day filled with community, laughter, and celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to the City of Tukwila for partnering with us and providing free hot dogs and hamburgers for families to enjoy, and to Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila for their generous donation to help make this event possible.

Most importantly, thank you to our dedicated Historical Society board members, volunteers, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your time, passion, and commitment brought this celebration to life.

It was truly inspiring to see our community come together to celebrate our nation’s history while creating new memories together. Here’s to many more moments that bring our community closer ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Thanks Foster High School Football coach Mark Cross and the FHS Jr. Bulldogs for putting one of our signs up at their fireworks stand. If you are going to light fireworks this year, stay legal one and use the ones that are ground based. They are quite spectacular. You can support our FHS football teams by buying them at their stand in the north parking lot of Southcenter Mall.
