Bibles for New Believers – Orkejua Loomayianat Village

Unite 4 Africa continues the work of evangelism, planting new churches, and equipping new believers to grow in their faith. This month, Unite 4 Africa Kenya leaders visited our newly planted church in Orkejua Loomayianat village, where the congregation currently gathers to worship under the shade of a tree.

During the visit, we had the joy of empowering these new believers by distributing Maasai Bibles. Receiving God’s Word in their mother tongue—the language of their heart—makes it easier for them to understand, remember, and apply biblical truth in their daily lives. Reading Scripture in a familiar language strengthens discipleship, encourages personal Bible study, and helps new believers grow in their relationship with Christ with greater confidence and clarity.

As these believers learn directly from God’s Word, they are also being equipped to disciple others, strengthening the foundation of this young church and supporting its continued growth.

Multiplication Story: From Young Minister to Senior Pastor

One of our younger leaders, Muzemil Biffo, serves in one of our Hub cities, Assela. His journey is a powerful testimony of leadership multiplication and the impact of intentional discipleship efforts.

Muzemil has been journeying with me in the past many years through our various DMM trainings, coaching and mentorship sessions. After successfully applying what he had learned, and as he continued to grow in both character and ministry effectiveness, he eventually has become one of our Master Trainers in his region.

At the time, Muzemil was serving as a full-time minister youth leader at Assela Emmanuel United Church. He was highly committed to putting into practice everything he learned through our ministry. With ongoing coaching and mentoring, he intentionally discipled young leaders, facilitated various trainings, and mobilized disciple-making efforts in numerous villages surrounding Assela. Through these ministries, many believers were equipped to make disciples, resulting in the multiplication of leaders and ministry opportunities.

Over the past six years, we have had the privilege of investing in Muzemil through training, coaching, mentoring, and leadership development. His spiritual maturity, servant leadership, and ministry fruit became evident to both the church elders and the congregation.

Recently, in recognition of his faithful service and proven leadership, Assela Emmanuel United Church elected him as their Senior Pastor. This appointment is a significant multiplication milestone. It demonstrates how intentional investment in one emerging leader can produce lasting influence, not only in disciple-making but also in strengthening the leadership of the local church.

Muzamil’s story is especially inspiring because he came to faith in Christ from a Muslim background. Today, he faithfully shepherds the very church that has recognized God’s calling and gifting in his life. His journey reflects the transforming power of the gospel and the effectiveness of multiplying leaders through consistent disciple-making, coaching, and mentoring.

We thank God for raising and multiplying leaders like Muzemil. His life is a living testimony that investing in faithful people who will invest in others produces lasting Kingdom impact.

CHURCH PLANTERS

Samson gave the charge to Church planters who were graduating from their two year work in the field in their partnership with TTI as Church planters in the Kingdom of God. The work is indeed, so big and we should continue to pray for the Lord of harvest to send in more laborers. It was a moment of reflection of the goodness of the Lord in faithful service in reaching to people in a very difficult terrain and in some cases where people are not even welcomed simple because of the name of Jesus of Christ. But thanks be to God who has always shown mercy to His children especially, when they are ready to head His voice and leadership

Restoring Dignity Through Sanitary Pad Distribution

One of our ongoing community outreach projects is the distribution of sanitary pads to girls in schools and local communities. This initiative is about much more than providing hygiene products it is about restoring dignity, protecting health, and creating opportunities for girls to thrive.

Many girls miss school because they cannot afford sanitary pads. By providing these essential supplies, we help ensure that they can attend classes consistently, participate confidently in school activities, and continue pursuing their education without interruption.

This project also promotes good menstrual hygiene, helping to reduce infections and improve the overall health and well-being of adolescent girls. Beyond meeting a physical need, it boosts their confidence, self-esteem, and sense of dignity during a very important stage of life.

Through these distributions, we also create opportunities to educate girls on menstrual health, personal hygiene, and self-worth. We encourage them to embrace their value, care for their bodies, and pursue their dreams with confidence.

We are deeply grateful to our partners and supporters whose generosity makes this ministry possible. Every packet of sanitary pads distributed is an investment in a girl’s education, health, confidence, and future. Together, we are bringing hope, restoring dignity, and empowering the next generation of young women.

EMPOWERING WOMEN TO LEAD IN THE CHURCH –
ZION MAILTISA

By the grace of God, we successfully held a week-long Women’s Prayer and Bible Learning Conference under the theme “Moving into New Territory” from Deuteronomy 11:10–12. The week was marked by deep spiritual growth, fervent prayer, fellowship, and the empowerment of women to step boldly into God’s calling and leadership within the Church. Throughout the week, women gathered daily to seek the Lord, study His Word, and explore new dimensions of faith and service. The theme challenged participants to trust God as they move into new territories of ministry, influence, and spiritual responsibility, knowing that the land God gives His people is sustained by His presence and care.

A significant highlight was witnessing the support of church men who intentionally encouraged and created space for women to lead. This demonstrated a powerful shift in breaking barriers of male-only leadership, particularly within Maasai church communities. Their partnership reflected the Biblical principle that men and women are called to serve together for the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

The conference also became a platform for healing and restoration as women openly shared testimonies and life challenges. Through prayer, encouragement, and sisterhood, many found strength, hope, and renewed faith in God’s ability to carry them through difficult seasons.

We were greatly blessed by the ministry of Unite 4 Africa leaders, Dr. Okongo and Rev. Shyla, whose teaching, encouragement, and spiritual guidance deeply impacted the women. Their messages inspired participants to embrace God’s purpose with confidence and courage. The conference concluded powerfully as women gathered on their knees before the Lord in prayer and worship. The Holy Spirit moved mightily, ministering healing, renewal, conviction, and fresh empowerment. Many left with a renewed passion for God, a deeper understanding of His Word, and a commitment to lead and serve faithfully in their families, churches, and communities. We thank God for a transformative week and pray that the seeds planted will continue to bear fruit as women move forward into the new territory God has prepared for them.

A Touch of Hope: Bringing Healing to Children in Need:

One of the many ways our outreach ministry serves local communities is by providing medical care to those who have little or no access to treatment. In several villages around the Wolayita S**o area, in Ethiopia, many children have been suffering from a severe skin disease that causes intense itching, painful sores, and open wounds, especially on their legs. Sadly, many families are unable to afford the medical care their children desperately need and our Orphans have been exposed for this disease big time.

Out of respect for the dignity and privacy of these children, we have chosen not to share photographs of their condition.

By the grace of God, we are able to respond to this challenge. Last month, five children received the medical treatment they urgently needed. According to Pastor Chachi, our Regional Coordinator, their recovery has been remarkable. The pain has greatly decreased, the wounds are healing well, and these children are now experiencing renewed hope and joy.

What a privilege it is to witness God’s compassion bringing healing to these precious young lives. We are deeply grateful for your faithful prayers and partnership, which make ministries like this possible.

Many more children and vulnerable families are still waiting for help. As the Lord enables you, we invite you to continue standing with us through your prayers and support. Together, we can bring the love of Christ in practical ways, offering hope, healing, and the message of the Gospel to those who need it most.

A Permanent Church for the Orkung’u Community:
Building for Eternity

With hearts full of gratitude to God, we are delighted to share the successful completion of a permanent church building for the Orkung’u community. This milestone is a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the incredible generosity of our ministry partners and supporters who have faithfully stood with us in advancing the Gospel.

For many years, the believers in Orkung’u worshipped in temporary structures that were vulnerable to rain, wind, and extreme weather. These conditions often interrupted services, limited ministry activities, and made it difficult for the congregation to gather consistently. Despite these challenges, the church remained steadfast in faith, continuing to worship God and share the Good News with their community.

Today, that story has changed. The new permanent church stands as a symbol of hope, faith, and God’s enduring presence among His people. It provides a secure and welcoming place where families can gather for worship, prayer, Bible study, discipleship, youth fellowships, children’s ministry, leadership training, and community outreach throughout the year.

This building represents far more than bricks and mortar. It is a place where lives will be transformed through the preaching of God’s Word, where people will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, where marriages and families will be strengthened, where children will grow in the knowledge of God, and where future leaders and missionaries will be equipped to serve His Kingdom. We believe this church will continue to impact generations to come, becoming a spiritual lighthouse that shines the love and hope of Christ throughout the entire Orkung’u community and beyond.

The completion of this church also reflects the power of partnership in ministry. Every prayer offered, every financial gift given, and every word of encouragement has contributed to making this vision a reality. Because of your faithful support, a congregation now has a permanent home where they can worship freely and continue reaching others with the Gospel.

On behalf of the church family in Orkung’u and our entire ministry team, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made this project possible. Your generosity is producing an eternal harvest. Together, we are not simply constructing buildings—we are establishing places where God’s people will worship, disciples will be made, communities will be transformed, and lives will be changed for the glory of God.

Valentine Motet’s Journey of Resilience:
Rescued from Early Marriage to Pursuing Higher Education

At Unite 4 Africa, we believe that rescuing a girl is just the first step; walking with her to fulfill her God-given potential is the ultimate goal. Today, we celebrate the incredible journey of Valentine Motet, a young woman whose life has been transformed from a tragic statistic into a story of hope and leadership.

The Rescue and Education

Years ago, Valentine was facing a bleak future. She was on the verge of being forced into an early marriage to a much older man, a practice that would have stripped away her education, her youth, and her dreams.

Unite 4 Africa stepped in, rescued Valentine, and placed her into secondary school. Through your prayers and support, she thrived. We are thrilled to report that Valentine has since joined Narok Teachers College and has just successfully completed her first year of studies! She is well on her way to becoming an educator and a beacon of light in her community.

Family Reconciliation and Unity

A major breakthrough in Valentine’s story lies in the restoration of her family. Recognizing that lasting change happens from within the home, our Ministry President, Dr Okongo took an intentional, pastoral approach to mend deep-seated family brokenness.

Dr. Okongo met with Valentine’s father and mother separately to understand their perspectives and address the challenges keeping them apart. Later, he brought both parents together for a joint mediation session. Through God’s grace, the meeting was a success. The parents resolved their conflicts and have now committed to working in unity to support Valentine as she pursues her college education.

Overcoming Unexpected Challenges

Valentine’s journey has not been without its trials. During a time of vulnerability and desperation, she was misled by a young man. Believing his false promises, she became pregnant, after which the young man abandoned her and fled.

While this was a heavy and unexpected obstacle, Unite 4 Africa refuses to let a setback define Valentine’s future. True rescue means providing grace, counseling, and continued support when life gets difficult. Despite the hardship of being a young mother, Valentine remains determined to finish her college education and build a stable future for herself and her child.

Looking Forward

Valentine’s story is a profound reminder of why we do what we do. It highlights the complexities of the lives we touch combining cultural rescue, higher education, family reconciliation, and unconditional support through personal hardships.

We thank God for Valentine’s resilience, and we thank you, our partners, for making her transformation possible. Please continue to pray for her as she balances her second year of college and motherhood, and for her parents as they continue to stand united behind her.

Equipping Leaders for Healthy Churches and Communities – Empowering Pastors and Their Wives to Lead with Unity and Strength:

Healthy, thriving communities begin with healthy, thriving churches. However, pastors and their wives often face intense spiritual warfare, emotional burnout, and unique ministry pressures without a strong support system. To address this, Unite 4 Africa recently hosted a targeted training conference specifically designed to equip, refresh, and empower our local pastors and their wives.

Strengthening the Pastoral Marriage

A central focus of the training was strengthening the marriage relationship between the pastors and their wives. In many leadership contexts, couples can become consumed by the day-to-day demands of running a church, inadvertently neglecting their own relationship.

The sessions provided a safe space for couples to openly discuss communication, shared responsibilities, and emotional health. By emphasizing that a pastor’s primary ministry is to his own family first, the training helped couples realign their priorities, rebuild emotional intimacy, and commit to leading their congregations together as a unified team.

The true impact of this training goes far beyond the classroom. When a pastor and his wife are spiritually refreshed and walking in unity, the entire church changes. They return to their villages not just as administrators, but as healthy models of a Christian family.

As these couples implement what they learned, we expect to see stronger marriages among church members, better support systems for vulnerable youth, and a more vibrant, unified witness for Christ across the entire region. “A healthy church requires healthy leadership. By investing in our pastors and their wives, we are securing the spiritual foundation of entire communities for generations to come.”
