The Mission of Southern Arizona Charities Foundation (SACF/ACF) is to bring smiles to as many families as possible who are going through the daily struggles of having a child with disabilities and/or serious health problems. We want them feel the love that the Tucson community has for them; they are special and we want them to know it! The children that face the challenges of Muscular Dystrophy, C
erebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Leukemia, Multiple Sclerosis and other diseases and illnesses may not have the ability to enjoy many of the things a lot of us take for granted. By providing venues, games, resources and events for these amazing, happy, lovable kids…the Special Kids-Special Needs program gives a momentary burst of joy and a sense of pride every couple of months to each of our participating children and their families. From a movie night to baseball games, from the water park to a day at the zoo, our sole focus is to help our beautiful children feel like “special” kids for at least one wonderful, fun filled day every month. We also are doing wonderful things for the local Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona located right here in the heart of Tucson. Each month our goal is to provide as many families as possible that are staying at the RMH with a welcoming MONKEY BASKET! Each basket contains a 15 inch plush monkey, a soft blanket and a basket that is filled with a variety of goodies like toiletries, toys, games, books and snacks, along with gift cards from restaurants right here in Tucson. We also are funding the canopy for the outdoor playground so all the children who stay at the Ronald McDonald House can enjoy the beautiful, gorgeous weather Arizona provides.
