Meet Conrad.

A U.S. Army veteran facing prostate cancer—while also serving as the primary caregiver for his disabled wife and young great-granddaughter.

Every day, Conrad shows up for his family. Even while battling his own health challenges, his focus is on making sure they’re taken care of.

When his household faced a critical need, National Community Health Partners stepped in to identify the situation and connect him to support. That’s when Honor Charity got the call.

What he needed was simple—but urgent: a working washing machine.

With his medical condition, even basic daily tasks had become physically demanding and unsustainable.

We stepped in and provided immediate financial assistance to replace it.

And just like that-
the burden was reduced,
his home stabilized,
and his ability to care for his family improved immediately.

This wasn’t just about an appliance.
It was about restoring dignity, stability, and support when it mattered most.

This is what happens when a community works together.
Real coordination. Real impact. Right here in Tucson.

A 17-year Navy veteran here in Tucson, Greg was hit with cataracts that caused him to lose his job.

He didn’t sit still. Greg got connected with the Pima County Veteran Service Center, working with their workplace development office to find an employer willing to work with his disability. At the same time, he was connected to the VA to begin the process of addressing his cataracts.

Then, right before his new job was set to begin—his car broke down.

He was scheduled to start work on Monday.

Honor Charity got the call.

All Greg needed was $200 for parts. A local mechanic stepped up and volunteered to do the labor for free. We got his paperwork done Thursday, a check in his hand Friday, and his car fixed by Saturday.

Greg made it to work on time.

This is what we do.
No red tape. No delays. Just real help when it matters most.

Today, we remember the men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

Memorial Day isn’t just about a long weekend—it’s about honoring sacrifice.

At Honor Charity, we carry that forward by showing up for the veterans and families who continue to live with that loss.

Support that stays local.
Support that shows up when it matters.

If you’re looking for a way to honor their legacy—this is it.

Honored to have our founder, Bernie Colonna, speak at the veteran graduation convocation for the University of Arizona Class of 2026.

As a Tucson native, Army veteran, entrepreneur, and recent Eller graduate himself, Bernie had the opportunity to speak on leadership, resilience, community, and what it means to continue serving long after military service.

Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate such an accomplished group of veterans as they step into their next mission.

“Service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. It evolves.”

Congratulations to the veteran graduates of the Class of 2026.

Bear Down.

When Joshua, a Navy Reservist, came to the Kino Veterans WorkForce Center looking for work, he was facing more than just a job search. Falling behind on rent and struggling to cover basic needs, the pressure was building fast. But he stayed committed to finding a path forward, showing up to opportunities and putting in the work. With the right support at the right time, things began to shift.

Joshua’s journey is a powerful example of what happens when a community comes together. Through collaboration between local partners and support from Honor Charity, he secured stable employment, housing assistance, and the resources needed to succeed. From a gas voucher to get to work to tools for his new role, every piece mattered. Today, Joshua is working, providing for his family, and moving forward with stability and pride. This is what real impact looks like. Local help. Lasting honor.

This International Family Day, we’re honoring the people who stand behind every veteran.

Service doesn’t happen alone. It’s carried by families, supported by community, and strengthened by the people who show up when it matters most. Here in Tucson, that’s what we do.

At Honor Charity, our mission goes beyond support, it’s about building a community where veterans and their families know they’re never alone. Because to us, this isn’t just a cause. It’s family.

Local help. Lasting honor.

Kaitlyn Wolin brings strength, balance, and an incredible spirit of giving to everything she does.

We’re so grateful to have her supporting the Honor Charity Veterans Day Classic Golf Tournament. As a yoga teacher at Sessions Yoga and a pilates instructor at Friday Pilates, Kaitlyn inspires others to feel strong in both body and mind. That same energy carries into her commitment to our community, where she shows up ready to support and make a difference.

We appreciate Kaitlyn for sharing her time, positivity, and passion to help local veterans and their families.

When Jonathan, a United States Air Force and Air National Guard veteran, faced homelessness after his transition to civilian life, he made a choice to rebuild on his own terms. He stepped into a structured mental health and recovery program, committed to creating stability and a path forward. With the right support, that commitment began to turn into real progress. Because rebuilding starts with one strong step.

Jonathan’s story is a powerful example of what happens when organizations work together. Through support from Mo***re Behavioral Health and Honor Charity, he gained both the clinical care and financial stability needed to move forward. From securing safe housing to staying connected for job opportunities, every piece mattered. This is what real impact looks like. Local help. Lasting honor.

Today, we honor the women who hold everything together.

To the moms who have served, the moms who are raising future leaders, and the moms who quietly carry the weight of their families every single day—thank you.

To our veteran and military moms: your strength, sacrifice, and resilience do not go unnoticed. You’ve served our country and continue to serve your families and communities with unwavering love.

To every mom in our community—those supporting veterans, showing up for neighbors, and lifting others in moments that matter—you are the reason our community is strong.

At Honor Charity, we see firsthand the impact of a mother’s love. It’s often the foundation that helps veterans keep going, rebuild, and find their way forward.

Today, we celebrate you.
Today, we thank you.

Because strong moms build strong veterans.
And strong veterans build strong communities.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
