Our training team had such a great time at the 2026 Catalyst Kitchens Southwest Regional Summit in San Francisco! It was a great opportunity to connect, learn, and share ideas with others doing this work.

We’re excited to share that Caridad Community Kitchen was recently recognized by March of Dimes for our partnership with the UA Mobile Health Program! 💜

Caridad hosted the mobile health unit each month during our meal service, helping bring health resources directly to our community.

A special shout-out to Marcella for representing Caridad and accepting this award on our behalf! We’re grateful to March of Dimes and the UA Mobile Health Program for this recognition and for the work they do in our community.

Caridad Community Kitchen’s official team, The Flavonoids, brought in over $7,000 this year, making it our biggest fundraising year yet!

We’re so grateful to our donors and our 66 team members, including staff, volunteers, and community members who joined us in person, virtually, or from other cities - even from as far as Vancouver, Canada!

Class 44 is officially underway!

Our 11 new students have brought some amazing energy into the kitchen. And in just their first week, they’ve sharpened their knife skills while cutting more than 400 pounds each of onions and potatoes that will go into our community meals, learned how to supreme oranges, and practiced breaking down melons.

We’re excited to see where these skills take them. Welcome to the kitchen, Class 44!

Our Culinary Training team spent this week connecting with other workforce development programs and learning from the incredible work happening in our community and beyond.

We visited two local organizations, GAP Ministries and Gospel Rescue Mission, as well as Root North Shore in Salem, MA. Each organization gave us a unique look at their programs, training models, and the ways they support their communities.
