Great to see the game of Touch Rugby bringing together members of the community and in turn benefitting the children at Khazimula Children's Home. Wonderful way to pay it forward. Well done to all involved with the Notties Touch Tournament in KwaZulu-Natal midlands, South Africa.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Grant and Robyn Stewart and all involved in the 2025 Mahindra PMB Notties Touch Tournament for their incredible generosity.
Following the tournament in September last year, we were deeply honoured to receive a huge donation of R35,000. Just like in touch rugby, where every pass, every touch, and every try is a team effort, this contribution reflects the power of community working together toward a greater goal.
Your support helps us keep moving forward, creating opportunities and safe spaces for the children in our care. Because of you, we can continue to “pass the ball” and build a brighter future for every child at Khazimula.

After 6 years at Khazimula Children's Home - this young man is ready for the next leg of his journey. We are grateful to have been able to support Khazimula's cause during this time.

We are incredibly proud of this young man! After spending 6 years in our care, he completed his matric exams at the end of last year and officially left our care to begin his next chapter.
Yesterday, he popped in to collect his matric certificate — and what a special moment it was! 💙
It is always such a joy to welcome back past residents and to hear about their journeys since bidding us farewell. Seeing them grow, persevere, and achieve their goals reminds us why we do what we do.
Your determination and perseverance have truly paid off. You have made your Khazimula family so proud! 🌟
Onwards and upwards.

The US $ goes such a long way in South Africa - please consider supporting Khazimula Children's Home fundraiser to raise funds for the purchase of underwear for the children and youth in their care.

Our children are in need of some "Simple, Bare Necessities..."We're hoping to raise funds to purchase good quality new underwear for 20 children at Khazimula Children's Home between the ages of 5 and 21. Wonderful to see the children at Khazimula Children's Home receiving marimba lessons as part of their therapeutic programme.

Beyond Legacy supports a variety of different projects in South Africa and is passionate about inciting renewal and leaving a legacy of positive change.

We have huge admiration for this organisation that perseveres to bring about impactful change in the lives of vulnerable children and youth, despite challenges and obstacles they face on a daily basis...

The girl with flowers in her hair....

This image is one of a 'broken' child, brought to Khazimula as we are a place of safety for vulnerable children and youth.

You won't know her name, know her life story or see the pain in her eyes but she is one of the many constant reminders to our team as to why, we as a NPO organisation, need to persevere with the work we do, despite the enormous financial challenges we are facing.

Yesterday was a hugely disappointing day for our organisation. We learnt that our application to the NLC (Lotto) requesting funding to purchase a much needed minibus for transporting our children and youth to school and back has been rejected. Added to this, we have not yet received our monthly subsidy from the Department of Social Development. It is only human for the spirits of the passionate team of board members, management team and volunteers to be at an all time low.

BUT today is a new day, and we will soldier on... because the very reason for our existence is to be there 24/7 in times of need for vulnerable children and youth, just like the girl with flowers in her hair.

We are forever grateful to all our committed donors, sponsors and supporters who help us to build the broken spirits of our children, keep them safe and guide them on their healing journey whilst they are in our care.
