Celebrate the joy, laughter, and limitless potential of children this Día de la Niñez! 🎈

Día de la Niñez (Children’s Day), celebrated each year on April 30th across Mexico and Latin America, is a beautiful reminder of how deeply children matter in our communities. Since its origin in 1924, this day has honored childhood with fun, learning, and love, and we’re keeping that spirit alive right here at home!

You had the chance to learn about the Story Project this week: now meet one of the people who brings that magic to life across Arizona. 💛

Emily has been with Make Way for Books for the past two years, traveling from Tucson to Casa Grande to Phoenix (and back again!) to support educators and spark joy in classrooms. Since day one, she’s been sharing her passion for early literacy and creating meaningful connections with the communities she serves. Her energy, dedication, and heart are felt everywhere she goes and we’re so grateful to have her on our team! 📚
