The Tucson Bail Fund (TBF) formerly known as the Tucson Second Chance Community Bail Fund was established to address the disproportionate impact of the money bail system on communities of color and vulnerable populations here in Pima County. TBF aims to restore economic justice and dignity to those being detained pretrial by helping them return home, keep their jobs, retain custody of their children and fight their cases in court.

Today is the final day of Tucson Bail Fund. Thank you for 7+ amazing years! It started with one radical idea, to bail a Black mama out of Pima County Jail in 2017, and it turned into a whole organization lol. Eternally grateful to this community and all the ways you fought for pretrial freedom alongside us. Thank you to all the collaborators, co-conspirators, and homies that kept this little project going for so long. We love you Tucson! May the seeds of our organizing blossom into our collective liberated future. ❤️✊🏾

Thank you Tucson for a beautiful send off! Many special thanks to the indomitable and team Damon and Daniel! Last night we celebrated abolition and the million experiments that make up the abolitionist future we are all dreaming of. Tucson Bail Fund is just one of these experiments and we look forward to seeing the seeds of our 7 years of organizing sprout and grow into new iterations and movements. We love you Tucson! ❤️

After 7+ years and 219 bonds, TBF has posted its final bails. Today we brought three neighbors home from Pima County Jail and we couldn't be prouder of all we've accomplished together. We still have some wonderful community programming planned for you Tucson before we sunset for good at the end of April. Thank you from the bottom of hearts, the work would have been impossible without our community. ❤️

Tucson Bail Fund has made the difficult decision to sunset in 2025. We will be posting our final bails this month and will be concluding our community programming in Spring 2025. We are forever grateful for 7+ wonderful years Tucson and know that the organizing still continues even if TBF is no longer at the helm. Not all projects are meant to be around forever, instead we celebrate all the wins big and small we've shared together. We plan to regrant the bulk of our remaining assets to organizations doing wonderful work in our community , , , , and . Thank you for fighting alongside us and dreaming of a better Tucson.

Our final of 2024! We brought home a neighbor from Pima County Jail today who will make it home in time to spend the holidays with their family. TBF will be closed December 23rd - January 3rd. See you all in the new year! Wishing you all rest and justice 🫶🏾
