Help us celebrate and preserve the culinary traditions that make the Arizona-Sonora borderlands unlike anywhere else in the world.

Join us for a free community workshop as we gather feedback on the Tucson Heritage Dishes Project, led in collaboration with renowned food historian Gary Nabhan. Together, we’re identifying iconic regional dishes for nomination to the Slow Food Ark of Taste: an international catalog recognizing culturally significant foods at risk of disappearing.

From chimichangas and cheese crisps to carne machaca, capirotada, pan de cemita, and more, your stories and knowledge can help shape this important community project.

📅 Saturday, August 15
📍 Tucson Museum of Art: StoneWall Community Room
