Reclaimed Story

Reclaimed Story Where your story becomes your strength. Women long to live a life of purpose. However, many feel held back—even stuck—by the negative chapters in their stories.
(1)

When you see a woman dressed up and looking put together at a store, or at your work, or church it's impossible to know the pain that lies beneath her smile. Reclaimed Story’s mission is to bring hope and healing to women who find themselves wrestling with parts of their story, are ready to break free and live a victorious life. The founders of Reclaimed Story understand what it’s like to suffer f

rom unsettled hurts, cycles of self-destruction, and feeling as if you are stuck. We are here to lift the veil on the potential and unique purpose that you were made for by sharing authentic transformation stories and connecting with other reclaimers. Our goal is to create a community that will uncover the lies that hold women captive, chained to their past, and replace them with truth.

Have you ever noticed that the hole to fill a salt shaker is on the bottom?

Think about it. You fill it up, turn it over, and the salt starts pouring out. If you're not careful, it can feel like everything you just put in comes right back out again.

Some days life feels that way.

You rest. You take a Sabbath. You spend time with the Lord. You finally catch your breath... and then a difficult phone call comes.

A crisis hits. Someone needs you. The demands keep coming.

Before long, it feels like more is going out than ever came in.

But Jesus offers a different kind of rest.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

Not a temporary refill.
Not a quick fix.
Not the kind of rest that comes in one side and out the other.

The kind of rest that sustains.
The kind of rest that strengthens your soul from the inside out.

Friend, where do you need sustaining today?
Bring that place to Jesus. Let Him meet you there.

💜 And if your soul could use a three-hour getaway to breathe, worship, connect, and be refreshed, we'd love to have you join us at Rescued & Restored.

Today's episode of Living the Reclaimed Life is one that we wish everyone would listen to.

Most of us want to help a friend who is grieving. We want to say the right thing, show up well, and offer support. Yet many of us feel unsure of what to do, or afraid of getting it wrong.

In Episode 162, Robin Blumenthal sits down with Ashley Hughes, founder of Joy in the Mourning, to talk about grief, loss, and what grieving people truly need from those around them.

After losing her husband at a young age, Ashley turned her pain into a mission to help others navigate grief and to equip friends, families, and communities to walk alongside those who are hurting.

Whether you are grieving yourself or love someone who is, this conversation is filled with wisdom, compassion, and practical encouragement.

“You have to put your oxygen mask on first.”

Near the end of our conversation on the podcast, Nelly Holst shared something so simple yet so important:
If we never care for ourselves, eventually we won’t have anything left to give others.
As women, many of us are so used to serving everyone else that we ignore our own exhaustion, health, stress, and needs until our bodies force us to pay attention.

This episode is not about perfection or appearance.
It’s about:
Stewardship
Healing
Wisdom
Honoring God with our lives
Learning healthier rhythms
And most importantly, remembering there is hope.
If you haven’t listened to this episode of Living the Reclaimed Life yet, I’d love for you to take some time to listen.

We live in a world filled with stress, exhaustion, confusing health advice, and constant pressure surrounding our bodies.

But what if caring for ourselves wasn’t about striving, perfection, or appearance? What if it was actually about stewardship, healing, and honoring the God who created us?

In this episode, I sit down with Christian health advocate Nelly Holst to talk about faith, chronic illness, biblical health principles, nutrition, and the connection between body, soul, and spirit.

Nelly shares her incredible story of living with celiac disease before most doctors even understood what it was, homeschooling her daughters for 17 years while battling health challenges, and discovering how deeply Scripture speaks into the way we care for our bodies.

This conversation is filled with practical wisdom, gentle encouragement, and hope for the woman who feels tired, overwhelmed, or disconnected from herself.

So whether you’re driving, folding laundry, taking a walk, or just needing a quiet moment to breathe, I pray this episode reminds you that God cares about every part of you.

“So many women are overwhelmed, tired, and confused about their health.”

That line from this week’s podcast with Nelly Holst hit me deeply.
In a world full of pressure, conflicting health advice, and perfectionism, Nelly reminds us that God’s heart for us is not shame, guilt, or fear, but stewardship, wisdom, and abundant life.

One of my favorite parts of the conversation was hearing how she spent 17 years homeschooling her daughters while battling chronic illness, and how God sustained her through it all.

If you are:
• exhausted,
• burned out,
• disconnected from your body,
• struggling to care for yourself,
• or simply longing for healthier rhythms,
I think this conversation will encourage you.
