Tucson Valley Visionaries Toastmasters Club

We are the Tucson Valley Visionaries! We meet online from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. Visitors are ALWAYS welcome.

We help members become better speakers and better leaders. What happens at a meeting? We gather and listen to two or three short (usually 5 to 7 minute) prepared speeches from members. Members receive feedback. But don't let that worry you! We are a fun, and welcoming group. During the second portion of our meeting we have "table topics," a chance for members to speak off-the-cuff on surprise topics. We are beginners and experienced speakers, but we all seek to improve our abilities.

Congratulations Steve and Marit for winning 1st place in each of their respective categories at the C1 Area contest today! Steve placed 1st in International and Marit placed 1st in Tall Tales! Way to represent!

2/26/20 - The APEX (word of the day) of the meeting was when the Toastmaster Wesley got to present all the speaking awards! Looking forward to seeing everyone again next week!

The Conquistador Toastmasters speech contest was awesome! Thanks to Cole McClarren, Vice President Education for leading the successful contest.

The speakers brought their A' game as all of the speeches were captivating.

Moving forward to the next round and representing the club in the C1 Area contest are Marit Alanen for the Tall Tales category and Steve Mustain for the International category. Kudos to all speakers, Laurie Solgon, Anthony Avila, and Wesley Cohen.

We wish them the best of luck. Everyone is invited to come and support them on Saturday, February 29th at 10:00 AM. The event will be held at Murphy-Wilmot Library Branch, 530 N. Wilmot Rd. We hope to see you all there!

An opulent meeting tonight with Marit winning best speaker for an alternative version of Poe's "The Raven." Her Evaluator Tim won best evaluator. And best table Topics was won by our guest. The program award was presented to Cynthia for leading Table Topics. And the Spark award went to Jess for her excellent ex*****on of her first evaluation!
