UofA Native American Law Students Association

UofA Native American Law Students Association NALSA is a student organization dedicated to helping its members succeed in law school, as well as promoting Native students to pursue law school.

The Native American Law Students Association (NALSA) is a student run organization/community, consisting of both native and non-native law students. Though most of our members are students of the Indigenous People's Law & Policy program, we welcome everyone regardless of their program of study. We offer our members community and support throughout their 3 years of law school, or perhaps through th

eir LLM or SJD program. Law school is tough, but we'll get through it together and we'll have fun doing it!

During Black History Month, the Native and Indigenous Law Students Association would like to take a moment to reflect on the profound impact of Black and Afro-Indigenous Native Americans in shaping our collective narrative. Their resilience in the face of adversity, unwavering commitment to justice, and rich cultural contributions resonate deeply within our communities.

As Indigenous peoples , we recognize and celebrate the invaluable role Black community members have played and continue to play in our society. Keep an eye on our page this month as we share information about the history and advocacy of Black and Afro-Indigenous peoples.
