Saving one of the best for last, our final feature is Sara Porter! She has competed with us for three years and won an outstanding witness award at her 1st ever tournament 🏆 Sara’s favorite mock trial memory is meeting her absolute closest friends, who made and continue to make her college experience so much more memorable. As for her future, Sara plans to enjoy her senior year to the fullest extent of the law.

We are glad to have competed with Sara and we can’t wait to see what amazing things she accomplishes! 💖

Our fifth feature is Iliana Mercier! She has been in the program for three years and is our 2020-2021 Social Media Chair. Her favorite mock trial memory is going to her 1st tournament in Georgia, where her team won the Spirit of AMTA award. During Iliana’s senior year, she plans to keep grinding and complete an honors thesis. After graduation, she will attend law school and hopefully go into public defense.

We wish you the best of luck in the future and have appreciated all the work you’ve put in in running our social media accounts! 🤩

Our fourth feature is our 2020-2021 MTUA tournament director, Naslie Rezaei. Naslie has competed with us for the past three years and running ACCI virtually wouldn’t have been possible without her. In addition to being tournament director, Naslie has been an amazing captain for multiple teams. Her favorite mock trial memory is when, in true Naslie fashion, she tripped while going up to get the trophy at Colorado Regionals🏆 She has one year left at the U of A, filled with bottomless brunches and thesis writing. After she graduates, Naslie plans to take a gap year and then go to law school.

We are so proud of you and are so grateful to have had you as a part of this program 💕

Our third feature is Rahul Jayaraman! He has competed with us for three years, has been a captain, and was Treasurer from 2019-2020. Rahul’s favorite mock trial memory is doing pre-competition hype up routines, like pain, blood, kill. He thinks that nothing brings a team together like all screaming at the top of your lungs in public. After Rahul graduates this Spring, he will be studying abroad in Copenhagen. He will also finish up an Accelerated Masters’ Degree in Public Policy at UA and then take a gap year to travel ✈️ In the future, Rahul plans to attend law school.

We are going to miss competing with you and we know you are going to accomplish great things! 🤩

Our second feature is Erik Kluczkowski! He has competed with us for four years, has been an attorney, and an award winning expert 🏆 Erik is grateful for the time he spent in Mock Trial and the friends he made during his time in the program. Erik has plans to attend law school and hopes to work in criminal prosecution in the future.

We are excited for you to graduate and wish you the best in your future adventures ⚖️

Our first feature is Sam Whitthorne! Sam has competed with us for three years. He has been an amazing member of our program as a captain, Secretary, and a winner of two witness awards. His favorite mock trial memory is presenting a very serious diagram (in a very serious British accent) of where the jury could observe buffalo chicken wing sauce residue on a man’s body. As for his future plans, Sam has one more year left at the U of A, then full steam ahead to law school.

Congratulations on your success and we hope that you get to put your very serious British accent to good use again one day! 🇬🇧

While we’ll miss seeing everyone at the Pima County Consolidated Justice Court, we are happy to be hosting our 6th annual Arizona Cactus Classic Invitational (ACCI) in January via Zoom! 🌵

Our last feature is our 2019-2020 MTUA Vice President, Vincent Bai! He has competed with us for four years, served as a captain, and has been a witness and an outstanding attorney. While he is a very skilled attorney, his portrayal of a Bear Grylls-loving Cameron Lee will be remembered by many for a long time 🤠 On top of all of these accomplishments, Vincent has just graduated from the University of Arizona 🎓 His future plans include attending law school. However, if that doesn’t work out Vincent aspires to take his comedic witnessing skills to the real world by working for Comedy Central.

We can't wait to see what Vincent’s future has in store and we hope to one day see him in the court room or with his name on the big screen!❣️
