National Elder Law Foundation - NELF NELF was founded in 1993, and dedicated to the development and improvement of the professional competence of lawyers in the area of elder law.

The National Elder Law Foundation is the only national organization certifying practitioners of elder and special needs law. NELF's Certified Elder Law Attorney designation is itself certified by the American Bar Association. There are over 500 CELAs in 48 states, and our numbers are growing steadily.
