Our tech Lancers shined at a hands-on Technical Theater Master Class hosted by Live Theatre Workshop and Pima County JTED, joining students from across Southern Arizona to sharpen their skills in lighting, prop shifts, rigging, quick changes, and more!

How many of you had her!?

Our beloved teacher, Mrs. Kate McGarey-Vasey has been selected as the recipient of the 2027 St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Award. This award honors individuals whose lives reflect the faith, service, perseverance, and commitment to Catholic education. Through more than four decades of faithful service at Salpointe Catholic High School, Ms. McGarey-Vasey has made an extraordinary impact as a theology teacher, mentor, leader, and witness to the Gospel. Her dedication to forming young people in faith, advancing Catholic education, and living the Carmelite mission has inspired generations of students, families, and colleagues. We are so excited to see her honored at the Celebration of Catholic Education Dinner in February 2027 hosted by the Diocese of Tucson.

Great article on how Elijah Rushing '24 is giving back to Salpointe and Southern Arizona. "Tucson raised me," Rushing said. "The coaches, teachers, and families at Salpointe and around the community poured into me long before anyone knew my name. Using my NIL platform to pour something back, even in small ways, is the least I can do." For Rushing, the giving is rooted in faith. "It's also faith-driven for me," he said. "My family taught me early that success isn't really success unless somebody else is better off because of it."
