WE ARE CALLING THIS 2-3 MONTH OLD PUPPY FINN. A good Samaritan found him walking along the road in Mexico between Naco and Cananea.

Poor Finn has already learned in his short life how cruel the world can be. We have seen these wounds before. Somebody poured hot oil or scolding water on him while he was probably just trying to survive.

Finn is currently with Maribel Zavaleta and Sonoran Street Dogs. He has received vet care because we covered it with some of our spay & neuter funds. His vet care will probably run $100-150 plus another $50 to vaccinate and neuter him.

We are asking for donations for his care. Any amount is appreciated and can be Zelled to us using our email: [email protected]

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A ROLL OF THIS SNAKE PROOF FENCING. 🐾

Our rescuer in Naco Sonora had a close call with a snake that had gotten into one of the dog kennels. Snake bites are very expensive to treat not to mention very painful and can even be fatal. We have used this fencing at the Albergue Ruiz. Patitas De Amor, agua Prieta Sonora and it has worked keeping the snakes outside the property. It is expensive but not as expensive as treating just one rattle snake bite. I have added some rolls to our Amazon Wishlist if anyone is able to help us with this it would be much appreciated!

It is very kind of them to thank me personally but it is because of the support we get from many sources that we are able to continue our monthly low-cost spay & neuter clinics. Large load of dog food went down to the border yesterday thanks to the AWESOME folks who donated via our wishlists or brought donations to Faith Cuthbertson Cran 's fundraiser at The Gaslight Theatre !

We have been so busy this spring and I am so reluctant about social media but I will be doing an update soon with lots of pics, I promise!

But it is spring time in Naco, Sonora and that means puppies 😥 Our rescuer Maribel who kept the newborns alive until we found a nursing mama for them, picked up another 5 puppies today. They are about 8 weeks. We did add some more puppy pads to our wishlist as well as canned puppy food for them.

WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!
A couple days ago a litter of newborn puppies were left in a bag outside of one of our rescuers in Naco's house. Wet and covered in dirt, fleas and ticks at just a day or two old with no mama in sight 😥

They have been bathed and de-ticked and are being fed every few hours. But we need to get more supplies down for them as soon as possible!

We have added some needed puppy items to our Amazon wishlist and temporarily changed the delivery address to our volunteer Soledad's address in Naco.

WE HAVE A BIG ASK TODAY FOR AZ GIVES DAY 🙏🐾💜

💜💜 A generous donator has offered to match every dollar we raise from today thru next Tues April 14th up to $500! 💜💜

🐾We do a medical fundraiser every spring to raise funds for TVT treatment. (I think PayPal's fundraising platform has changed from last year or I'm a year older and just can't figure it out 😂) Anyway, we desperately need to raise funds for this as well as vaccines and medicines.

🐾The first pic is a dog named Bobby we are currently treating for TVT. We have also partially funded the treatment of a couple other dogs recently. We pay about $60 for each treatment in MX with most dogs needing 4-6 total. This chemo (vincristrine) costs between $400-600 per dose in the US. We can fully treat a dog (95% cure rate) for the cost of less than one treatment in the US.

🐾We pay about $5 for vaccines and always need them for dogs like the one recently picked up by rescuer Maribel in the pic below. Besides vaccines these dogs rescued from the streets always need to be treated for internal and external parasites as well.

PLEASE HELP US TO RAISE $500 IN THE NEXT WEEK. EVERY DOLLAR DONATED WILL BE DOUBLED. WE CAN BUY A LOT OF MEDICAL TREATMENT IN MEXICO FOR $1000.
