But it is spring time in Naco, Sonora and that means puppies 😥 Our rescuer Maribel who kept the newborns alive until we found a nursing mama for them, picked up another 5 puppies today. They are about 8 weeks. We did add some more puppy pads to our wishlist as well as canned puppy food for them.

WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!
A couple days ago a litter of newborn puppies were left in a bag outside of one of our rescuers in Naco's house. Wet and covered in dirt, fleas and ticks at just a day or two old with no mama in sight 😥

They have been bathed and de-ticked and are being fed every few hours. But we need to get more supplies down for them as soon as possible!

We have added some needed puppy items to our Amazon wishlist and temporarily changed the delivery address to our volunteer Soledad's address in Naco.

BOBBY HAD HIS 3RD DOSE of vincristine chemotherapy to treat his TVT yesterday and is handling the medicine well.

We have currently raised $170 of the $500 we are hoping to raise by Tues April 14th for our TVT/medical fund. We have a generous donator willing to match dollar for dollar up to $500! That means your donation will be doubled!! And believe me EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR MATTERS. We pay $60 per treatment and can fully cure a dog of TVT for about $300!

TVT stands for Transmissable Venereal Tumor. What could possibly be worse than cancer? A contagious cancer 💔. It is a sexually transmitted form of cancer spread primarily via contact particularly among free-roaming unneutered dogs. Unfortunately we see it quite a bit among street dogs in Mexico.

I brought the last load of dog food that was raised from our dog food campaign last month down to the border on Tues. We had the equivalent of 40 large (40-50 lb) bags donated thru our wishlists!

We send 35-40 large bags of dog food to Mexico EVERY month.

WE HAVE A BIG ASK TODAY FOR AZ GIVES DAY 🙏🐾💜

💜💜 A generous donator has offered to match every dollar we raise from today thru next Tues April 14th up to $500! 💜💜

🐾We do a medical fundraiser every spring to raise funds for TVT treatment. (I think PayPal's fundraising platform has changed from last year or I'm a year older and just can't figure it out 😂) Anyway, we desperately need to raise funds for this as well as vaccines and medicines.

🐾The first pic is a dog named Bobby we are currently treating for TVT. We have also partially funded the treatment of a couple other dogs recently. We pay about $60 for each treatment in MX with most dogs needing 4-6 total. This chemo (vincristrine) costs between $400-600 per dose in the US. We can fully treat a dog (95% cure rate) for the cost of less than one treatment in the US.

🐾We pay about $5 for vaccines and always need them for dogs like the one recently picked up by rescuer Maribel in the pic below. Besides vaccines these dogs rescued from the streets always need to be treated for internal and external parasites as well.

PLEASE HELP US TO RAISE $500 IN THE NEXT WEEK. EVERY DOLLAR DONATED WILL BE DOUBLED. WE CAN BUY A LOT OF MEDICAL TREATMENT IN MEXICO FOR $1000.

🐾 Above is a partial list of people who donated funds or dog food thru our Amazon Wishlist. This does not include donations we received from Chewy (where we don't get a name) so THANK YOU also to those folks!

I took 2 loads of dog food down in March and have enough left for another load this week 💜
