I WANTED TO GIVE A HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO OUR FUNDRAISER for rescuer Maribel Zavaleta.

Thanks to you Maribel's roof is completed! No more buckets of rain during monsoon season. To finish the roof it cost about $900. We have about $700 remaining and we are awaiting an estimate from the glass company in Agua Prieta for windows. One door was donated so we just need another door and the windows for the house to be closed off to the elements before winter.

I will do an update as soon as we know what the cost will be for that. I am hoping we only need a few hundred dollars more 🙏

We will keep going towards our goal of indoor plumbing after that. Please know that every single dollar will help. It has given Maribel some hope about the future. And it has also meant a lot to me personally to be able to do this for her.

Link to fundraiser is below ⬇️ (*Please note the platform will default to donating 18% to them to run the fundraiser. You can change that to "other" and put in a dollar amount as little as $3)

PLEASE NOTE: This fundraising platform does not charge us any fees but asks for a donation to them to maintain the platform. The default is 18%, ouch! You can select "other" instead of 18% and then type in $3.00.

Please help us help Maribel Zavaleta 💜🐾

We need the rescue community's support on this one 🙏

Please consider a donation and/or share. We would appreciate it so much!

WE ARE CALLING THIS 2-3 MONTH OLD PUPPY FINN. A good Samaritan found him walking along the road in Mexico between Naco and Cananea.

Poor Finn has already learned in his short life how cruel the world can be. We have seen these wounds before. Somebody poured hot oil or scolding water on him while he was probably just trying to survive.

Finn is currently with Maribel Zavaleta and Sonoran Street Dogs. He has received vet care because we covered it with some of our spay & neuter funds. His vet care will probably run $100-150 plus another $50 to vaccinate and neuter him.

We are asking for donations for his care. Any amount is appreciated and can be Zelled to us using our email: [email protected]

And as usual we are also in need of dog food. Below are the links to our Amazon and Chewy Wishlists. We also added some wound care items to our Amazon list. (I also noticed Purina has a gift card offer when you spend $75 on Chewy)

Thank you all so much for your continued support! We can't do it without you 💜💜💜

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FEW PEOPLE WHO MIGHT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A ROLL OF THIS SNAKE PROOF FENCING. 🐾

Our rescuer in Naco Sonora had a close call with a snake that had gotten into one of the dog kennels. Snake bites are very expensive to treat not to mention very painful and can even be fatal. We have used this fencing at the Albergue Ruiz. Patitas De Amor, agua Prieta Sonora and it has worked keeping the snakes outside the property. It is expensive but not as expensive as treating just one rattle snake bite. I have added some rolls to our Amazon Wishlist if anyone is able to help us with this it would be much appreciated!

It is very kind of them to thank me personally but it is because of the support we get from many sources that we are able to continue our monthly low-cost spay & neuter clinics. I would like to give a special thank you to Jody R Stuart and Mac and also Jenni and Arizona Stray Savers for helping us get the rest of the funds we needed for the June clinic 💜🐾

Large load of dog food went down to the border yesterday thanks to the AWESOME folks who donated via our wishlists or brought donations to Faith Cuthbertson Cran 's fundraiser at The Gaslight Theatre !

We have been so busy this spring and I am so reluctant about social media but I will be doing an update soon with lots of pics, I promise!

WE ARE SO VERY GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS THE WORK WE ARE DOING 💜🐾

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED FROM OUR AMAZON WISHLIST FOR THE NEWBORN PUPPIES 💜🐾

We will be doing an update post on them soon. Don't worry it is really good news!

But it is spring time in Naco, Sonora and that means puppies 😥 Our rescuer Maribel who kept the newborns alive until we found a nursing mama for them, picked up another 5 puppies today. They are about 8 weeks. We did add some more puppy pads to our wishlist as well as canned puppy food for them.

UPDATE: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PURCHASED FROM OUR WISHLIST! We have enough puppy supplies for now. We will keep everyone updated on their progress 🙏💜

WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!
A couple days ago a litter of newborn puppies were left in a bag outside of one of our rescuers in Naco's house. Wet and covered in dirt, fleas and ticks at just a day or two old with no mama in sight 😥

They have been bathed and de-ticked and are being fed every few hours. But we need to get more supplies down for them as soon as possible!

We have added some needed puppy items to our Amazon wishlist and temporarily changed the delivery address to our volunteer Soledad's address in Naco.

If anyone is able to order an item or two for these little ones we would be so grateful 🙏
