Arizona Integrative Wellness Coalition Building community among practitioners in complementary and alternative wellness professions...

AIWC is a coalition of diverse healthcare providers and allies who meet and network to share their knowledge and expertise of complementary and alternative medicine and integrative wellness practices. We offer informative programs, networking, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of holistic health and wellness practices in the community. Membership allows you to spotlight your practice

or business at AIWC events and on our website, receive discounted rates at events, and build relationships with like-minded professionals. We value our members and look forward to your participation in our organization. Our Mission:

Thursday, February 16, 2017, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Join Dr. Mark Pirtle for a lively discussion on spiritual acceleration practices. Many earnest seekers make this mistake: they get bogged down in doing the same practice for years. There’s nothing wrong with that except, as with anything, habituation inevitably sets in. When it does, the same practice that once drove a person to new levels of awareness does little more than spin the wheels. It’s at times like these when one needs to shake the cage a bit.
Spiritual acceleration practices do exactly what they imply, propel a person to the next level of spiritual development quickly. It’s the qualities of such practices—intense, evocative, sensual—that make them so powerfully psychoactive.
Hear Dr. Pirtle speak about a few of the powerful techniques he employed to quicken the process of the participants in his upcoming documentary—Is Your Story Making You Sick? After the lecture he will invite members of the audience to network, connect and share resources to hasten the spiritual development of the AIWC community. You don’t want to miss this lecture. Come for the education and leave with a practice and hopefully, a client as well. Bring your business cards!

When Wild Meets Wild:
On Healing Relationships and the Role of the Wild in Learning our own Healing Wisdom

Join us for an evening with Klara Wojtkowska, MC LPC
Thursday, January 19, 2017 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Wilderness and the Wild are assumed to be dangerous parts of our World that the average person is not equipped to handle on their own; hence, Wild spaces on our planet are fast becoming endangered. In the name of separation and preservation, we can only enter these spaces with guides, or in some other tame or leashed way. Similarly, Illness in our society is treated as a wild and dangerous aspect of the human experience that needs to be eradicated in heavily controlled and sanitized environments, such as hospitals. Yet like the Wild in our own natures that desires and longs for the freedom of the Wilderness, so our illnesses ask to be met and learned by us in a Wild way - just as the Wilderness does not impose a way to be on the human body or experience, so every illness and experience of illness is a call for creative and spontaneous transformation. How does this affect our experience of healing, wholeness and well-being? What happens when Wild meets Wild again? Pre-register by Jan. 17th >> http://azintegrative.org/event-2350658

Join us Thursday, November 17 - Barbara Rector will speak on Engaging The Power of the Horse.
Click here for more info: http://azintegrative.org/event-2321720

Based in science unfolding from research at the U of A Medical school, we are investigating the physiological bond between horses and humans. It appears that horses drive or initiate this process through our shared bio fields mediated by our hearts. The horse’s heart pulls the chosen human heart rate into that of their heart minutes before the human synchronizes to that of the horse. These amplitude measures are associated with decreased inflammation, increased immune function, reduced symptoms of PTSD and stress and increased self esteem.

Barbara is credited globally with development of practice of psychotherapy with the help of horses (Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy EFP) in clinical setting of residential psychiatric hospital in early 1990. She has also contributed to the wide spread teaching practice of experiential education with the help of horses (Equine Facilitated Learning EFL). Raven Ranch is the home base of her Adventures In Awareness equine facilitated experiential learning programs.
