At Tucson Clean & Beautiful, we believe restoring the Santa Cruz River takes all of us. Through cleanups, habitat stewardship, and community partnerships, we work alongside volunteers to reduce litter, improve wildlife habitat, and help care for one of Southern Arizona’s most important waterways.
That’s why we’re proud to support a community-led effort with the University of Arizona to help shape a shared vision for the future of the Santa Cruz River.
The University of Arizona is asking community members to share how they use, value, and envision the river. Your experiences and ideas will help guide a future wildlife refuge right here in Tucson. This isn’t just about protecting land. It’s about restoring wildlife habitat, honoring cultural connections, expanding access to nature, and creating a healthier river for future generations. 🌵🏜️🦆
Your voice is an important part of this vision. By taking this short survey, you’ll help identify meaningful places along the river, guide restoration priorities, and shape the future of Arizona’s first proposed Urban National Wildlife Refuge.
Take a few minutes to complete this short survey and share your relationship with the Santa Cruz River:
• Which places along the Santa Cruz River are most meaningful to you?
• What wildlife would you hope to see return or flourish?
• How should future spaces support recreation, culture, and conservation?
Your input will help:
• Identify areas along the Santa Cruz River that hold deep community value and future potential.
• Shape priorities for restoration, access, and community programs.
• Guide how this shared vision becomes lasting change.
