GIVING THANKS IS KEY TO ANSWERED PRAYER - Part 1
A very familiar verse is Philippians 4:6.
In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Amplified Bible: Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
Many of us are facing great needs and concerns. These could involve family, your health, finances, ministry and countless other areas. Paul provides wise counsel in this verse which I find very helpful.
The first bit of wisdom is found in the words: “By prayer.” By prayer means we first and foremost draw close to the Lord. Climb up into His arms of love. He waits and welcomes you because He loves you so. No need to be afraid. Just come humbly yet boldly as you draw very close to Him. Once here in His Presence, begin to release every care and burden to Him. Release what is weighing you down and causing you fear, stress and anxiety. I like to put on instrumental soaking music and soak in His love as I itemize every concern. I say something like: Papa, I give You my concern about _______.” And I keep going until I “dump” it all before Him. Hold back nothing. He understands and delights in having you come to Him. Nothing is too small and nothing is too big for Him.
Once you’ve done that, the next bit of wisdom is found in the word “supplication”. This word indicates a crying out for Him to meet your needs. It is a strong and earnest appeal for Him to hear you and provide an answer to your deepest concerns. Make your heart known to the Lord. This can be in any area including emotional burdens.
Pastor and Greek expert Rick Renner describes this concept of supplication as this:
This word describes someone who prays authoritatively, in a sense, demanding something from God. This person knows what he needs and is so filled with faith that he isn’t afraid to boldly come into God’s Presence to ask and expect to receive what he has requested.”
This may mess with any religious misconceptions you may have of coming before God. The operative words to me are “With respect and with authority”. [holy boldness.]

Go ahead! Let it out! Let out your extravagant praise! Shout! Psalm 150 depicts worship that is lively, loud and energetic! Imagine what it must have looked and sounded like: Tambourines shaking, feet dancing, voices lifted high and shouting for joy, pipes humming, cymbals crashing! Sometimes your joy just can't be held in and you've got to let it out! Give Him glory!

Part of worship is how we treat others. Mark 12:30-31 Love God and love others.

"Let your gentleness [your gentle, gracious, unselfish, merciful, tolerant and patient] spirit be evident to all people. The Lord is coming soon." Phil. 4:5
Think of it this way: Let your gentleness be seen with your spouse. Your elderly parents. Your children. Your congregation. Your pastor. Your friends. Your family members. (especially those who may have differing religious or political views.) Your Facebook posts.

TEACHABLE MOMENT: The word used here in the Greek speaks to behavior and words that re considerate, fair and gentle, full of lovingkindness and mercy. It is not a disposition that is harsh or overly strict, but rather one that is patient, understanding and kind. In the New Testament, it is used to describe a quality of that reflects Christ-like humility and kindness. This word conveys tenderness and care, especially concerning inter-personal interactions.

Does this describe you? Invite Holy Spirit to help you grow in this area of Christ-likeness.

James 5:13 could be interpreted as follows:

“…Is there anyone among you who is so excited that he can hardly contain it and who feels as if he is about to burst with joy? If that person is so overjoyed and tickled that he can no longer restrain the happiness he feels, let him sing the song he feels in his heart.”

Oh, how wonderful those moments are when your spirit is so filled with God’s Presence that you feel a song arising from your heart! Why restrict the flow of life that is trying to emerge and refresh you at that moment? Remember, God gave your emotions to you. So when you’re overflowing with joy because of something God has done for you or because of some wonderful event that has just transpired, don’t hold back. It’s healthy and good for you to let your joy out!

Also, don’t let your rejoicing depend on whether or not people are present to do it with you. Have you forgotten that the Lord is always there with you? He will be happy to be a part of your celebration! In fact, it might even help you to express your joy if no one is there with you. If it’s just you and the Lord, there is nothing to stop you from laying aside all your inhibitions so you can really throw your entire being into rejoicing!

DON’T WAIT TO GIVE HIM THANKS
For the last few weeks, Holy Spirit has been highlighting 7:17 and today He gave me understanding. It’s based in Psalm 7:17
“I will give thanks {This word is yadah in Hebrew and it means “To sing, to praise and to give thanks} due His righteousness…”
We are to release our thanks and praise to Him as a prophetic act of worship BEFORE we see the answer!
Giving thanks BY FAITH is based on HIS Faithfulness!
Why express thanksgiving before we see the fulfillment of our prayers:
1. It expresses confidence in the One who is the Way-Maker, Miracle Worker! It’s a recognition of our complete dependence, trust and reliance on all He is and all of what He does.
2. It opens doors in the spirit realm.
3. It keeps our gaze focused upon Him and NOT on our circumstances.
4. Giving thanks is an expression of our faith.” Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
Start thanking Him NOW for the answer that is on the way! It’s a prophetic act of worship, the highest form of praise!

The Lord is bringing forth a pure sound of worship in this hour as He brings to light the hidden things of darkness and removes those things that would stain or tarnish worship or the worshippers. It's a sound of purity, passion and power to usher in His Presence and His glory! Allow your hearts, as the ark of His Presence, to be bare before Him, so we can carry the glory of the Lord! He wants to release throne room worship.

HARP VISION:
I, Sandy, received the following vision from Holy Spirit:
I saw a harp turning on its side. As it turned, it became a bow that could shoot out arrows. As the harp was played, arrows of the Lord shot out with accuracy, force and power!
The harp represents worship!
2 Chronicles 20 details the story of Jehoshaphat’s victory over his enemies.
In verse 22, it states, “When they began to sing and praise, the Lord set traps against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah. So they were destroyed.” (Defeated, smitten, pushed back) It brought deliverance to the land and people!
The Hebrew word for “sing” is not the usual word for sing, but it is the word “rinnah”. Rinnah is the jubilation of God’s people when the enemy is defeated by God Himself.
• It is effervescent, unbridled JOY.
• It is singing, praising, rejoicing and shouting joyfully.
• It is an archery term- it is used of the euphoric feeling when an arrow released hits the mark
This is a verbal picture of the harp, which when we sing, praise and worship the Lord, becomes a bow in the Mighty Hand of the Lord that RELEASES the arrows of the Lord! These arrows are powerful, mighty and strategic! Notice what happened to the enemy in Chapter 20. ? It caused the Lord to set traps and therefore, the enemy was defeated. The story goes on to tell us that they turned on themselves, began fighting among themselves and “they destroyed each other.”
These are not man-made arrows. These are the arrows of the Lord. His arrows don’t miss the mark. Rather, they are accurate. They are anointed. He has armor piercing arrows that get to the heart of His enemies.
In addition, the name Jehoshaphat means: The God who judges, governs and rules! As we worship, we come into agreement with the legislative ruling power of the God of Angel Armies! This honor have all the saints that His ecclesia (Church) rules and reigns with Him, especially as we praise, sing and worship Him! As worship, we execute the written judgement against His enemies. See Psalm 149:9 below
THE HARP BECOMES A BOW!
In the Name of Jesus, we release the arrows of the Lord with our decrees and with our worship against every enemy of Your will concerning the election, President Trump, the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett and the plans and purposes for this great nation, in the Name of Jesus, the Almighty and All-Powerful One!

Psalms 64:7-10 But God will shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they will be wounded. So they will make him stumble; their own tongue is against them; All who see them will shake the head. Then all men will fear, And they will declare the work of God, And will consider what He has done.

2 Samuel 22:15 - “And He sent out arrows, and scattered them,
Lightning, and routed them.

Psalm 7:13 -He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons;
He makes His arrows fiery shafts.

Psalm 18:14 -He sent out His arrows, and scattered them,
And lightning flashes in abundance, and routed them.

Psalm 21:12 -For You will make them turn their back;
You will aim with Your bowstrings at their faces.

Psalm 45:5 - Your arrows are sharp;
The peoples fall under You;
Your arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies.

Psalm 144:6 - Flash forth lightning and scatter them;
Send out Your arrows and confuse them!

Psalm149 Praise[a] the LORD!
Sing to the LORD a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains,
And their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute on them the written judgment—
This honor have all His saints.
Praise the LORD!
