The Husker women's volleyball team has progressed to the NCAA Final Four for the fourth time in four years! A school record!

They play Illinois in the semi-finals this coming Thursday evening at 8 PM

We've made arrangements with Craft Republic to show the game for our group on Thursday evening only. Unfortunately the Craft Republic is booked solid Saturday.

In order to reserve enough space at Craft Republic, please email [email protected] if you plan to attend and the number in your party.

Cool tip from our California friends:

"Did you know you can listen to many NEBRASKA sports teams live broadcasts on 'tune in radio' which is a free app for smartphones. Also, Big Ten Network often times will carry team competition; for instance, wrestling was on recently as was Volleyball. Volleyball team doing very well in extremely tough conference."

Updates from the President

Don't miss the Spring game at 9 AM this Saturday, April 21st. Both watch sites will be showing the event that promises to be an exciting kick-off of the Scott Frost era. The stadium is sold out and Comcast will not be showing the game as they have dropped the Big Ten Network so come to RJ's or the Fox & Hound to watch with other Husker fans!

Your Southern Arizonans for Nebraska chapter needs your help and input!

At our May meeting we will be electing a Vice President and a Membership Secretary. If you have an interest in either of these positions please contact one of the Nominating Committee members at your earliest convenience --- John Spirk ([email protected]), Betsy Apking ([email protected]) or Connie Swenson ([email protected]).

In addition to election of officers, we will be discussing a contribution to the Keith Bauman Memorial Scholarship fund and also a contribution to Team Jack. We will also be examining some sample polo shirts for consideration of selling at our watch sites this fall.

The meeting will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Viscount Suites Hotel (4855 E Broadway Blvd) starting at 6 PM. We'll meet in the boardroom with food and beverage service available. We eagerly accept any feedback and/or suggestions from attendees. Your opinions are valuable and appreciated. If you can't make it to the meeting but have suggestions, please let me know ([email protected]) and we'll add to the agenda.
