In 2010 I was called to help children in need and I accepted. While there are positive aspects, rewards and satisfaction in helping and supporting others, especially children, I and the board members who support me unfortunately have to deal with what’s called the secondary traumatic stress. This picture with the two boys is a prime example of that. November 2022, we opened the school and December of 2022, their own mother brought them to the school and vanished. Seven months later, she is nowhere to be found despite numerous attempts to find her. Seven months these two beautiful and amazing kids haven’t seen their mother, no visitation, no calls nothing! I am not sharing this story for you to feel bad but more so as an awareness. We could have easily turned them into the authorities and have them placed into the “system” but I couldn’t do that to them. We The Forgotten Children Foundation will care for them and give them the love and opportunity they deserve and need. Please pray for these two and all the kids we are trying endlessly to help. It takes a team, compassion and love and we can’t do it alone. I thank all of you who have been supporting us all these years and just know that you are changing kid’s lives in ways that you can’t even measure. Believe me, I know times are tough for all of us but these children need us and what we may consider minuscule here can go a long way in supporting them and giving them an opportunity and a chance in life. Thank you for having a heart for what we do. Blessings!!!
