🏆 2026 TMSC CITIZEN DIPLOMACY AWARD

Tucson Mexico Sister Cities Association is proud to announce Mr. Corky Poster as a recipient of the 2026 TMSC Citizen Diplomacy Award for Community Leadership, Cultural Heritage & Civic Engagement. 🇺🇸🤝🇲🇽

For more than five decades, Corky Poster has helped shape and preserve the cultural and architectural heritage of Tucson and Southern Arizona through his remarkable work as an architect, planner, educator, preservationist, and community leader.

His contributions include preservation and planning efforts involving some of our community’s most treasured landmarks, including Old Main, Bear Down Gym, the Old Pima County Courthouse, Tucson Historic Train Depot, Dunbar School, Canoa Ranch, Historic Fort Lowell Park, the Jewish History Museum, and the Matus-Meza Yaqui Museum.

At TMSC, we believe that citizen diplomacy begins with respect for our communities, cultures, and the histories that connect people across borders. Corky’s lifelong commitment to preserving Tucson’s distinctive heritage embodies these values and reminds us that our city’s identity is inseparable from its deep historical and cultural connections with Mexico.
