Everyone is having a blast at our first session of StoryShare summer camp!

So far they have written stories, created directors’ concepts, developed theatre skills, and begun rehearsing to bring their stories to life! Big thanks to Torrance Anderson for coming in to teach a StoryGrow workshop.

Showcase is this Thursday, and we can’t wait!!

We are thrilled to be a part of the inaugural Sonoran Theater Showcase, presented by the Pima Foundation.

This performance is a way to “sample” scenes from past productions and upcoming seasons from theatre companies throughout Tucson, while supporting the next generation of theatre artists. 100% of the proceeds and additional donations will go directly toward scholarship funds for Pima Community College theater students.

We'll be sharing a taste of Stories That Soar! alongside many of our fellow theatre makers, and we hope you'll join us!

What a way to close out the season! Best of Stories that Soar! brought together student authors from every school we partnered with this year for an afternoon full of imagination, laughter, creativity, and celebration.

In addition to featuring performances from our professional ensemble, we were also able to feature collaborations from our amazing community partners at Pima Community College, BAC the The University of Arizona School of Music, and the UA Animation Club.

Thank you to every student, teacher, teaching artist, performer, partner, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this action-packed school year possible. We had an incredible 2025–2026 season, and we are SO excited to continue this work, reaching even more students and expanding our impact in 2026–2027.

Or as we say in STS!, "Check and star!"

What an inspiring week at Theatre for Young Audiences/USA Festival and Conference!

We presented alongside Steven Higginbotham, Chair of the Theatre Department at Coastal Carolina University, about our growing partnership and the expanding impact of Stories that Soar! in South Carolina.

Our session, "Creating Collaborative Partnerships to Transform Educational Communities," shared how this collaboration has developed into a scalable model that connects universities, high schools, elementary schools, and communities simultaneously. It was so exciting to share the artistic and educational outcomes of the work, as well as the possibilities for bringing the model to even more communities.

Thank you to everyone who attended our session, and thank you TYA for an incredible conference.

Here's to continuing to amplify young people's voices!

We are loving these photos from Desert View High School SUSD's STS! High performance! They did such a wonderful job bringing the stories of Summit View Elementary SUSD students to life on stage.

What makes this especially meaningful is that Desert View High School was the very first school to pilot STS! High back in 2013. It’s inspiring to see this tradition still thriving over a decade later, continuing to empower students through storytelling, collaboration, and the Arts.

Congrats to all involved!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our amazing STS! teaching artists!

Thank you everything you do... which is usually 47 things at once. From teaching to directing to encouraging to problem-solving to herding chaos to inspiring creativity, you bring joy, energy, patience, love, and theatrical magic into every classroom you enter.

We truly and deeply appreciate you!

Congratulations to our partners in Colorado!!

Give it up for our fabulous StoryShare students at Cragin Elementary School. They wrote stories, created directors' concepts, developed scripts, and worked together to bring their words to life on stage!

Even more powerful is what they discovered along the way. As one student put it, they “learned how to be creative and make any story!” That's the kind of confidence and imagination that lasts far beyond the classroom!

Congratulations Cougars. Well done!
