Showing off our artists! Karla is a member of the Canvas Artist Network group and was kind enough to show off a recent piece of work. This one was inspired by her time meditating on the book of Luke. Take a look!

Introducing one of our very own! is a board member here at City Psalms and a talented inspirational R&B/soul artist. Please stay to hear about his faith and its intersection with his work.

Check out his new single! “Call on His Name” is inspired by Psalm 145:18 (NIV): "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth". This single encourages the listener to call upon Jesus in the good and bad times. He always hears and answers.

Another great addition to the City Psalms Board! Meet Jameiz!

Jameiz has been in the City Psalms family since 2019. If you know him, you know him but if you don't, the best way to describe Jameiz is creative, faithful, and a visionary.

What is he most excited for as a new board member?

"Learning how the brain of City Psalms operates and how decisions are made. I'm also excited to see what new aspects we as newcomers can offer in this new role."

Please welcome Dan Hartman to the City Psalms board!

Dan is the executive pastor at Lifepoint church and has been involved with City Psalms since, wait for it ... 2014! He is known as an imaginative, dependable, and relational individual, who is excited to spread joy about the work of City Psalms and the wonderful opportunities for artists in our city.

For those reasons and more we expect him to be a great addition to the team.

Glad to have you Dan!

Hard to believe it’s been 10 YEARS since we released City Psalms Two!

These photos are from the United For Tucson event at the TCC Arena — a gathering hosted by National Day of Prayer and 4Tucson, featuring the release of our new album of songs of prayer for our city. It was such a powerful evening drawing Christians across Tucson together in prayer for our community.

Such an amazing evening as all three City Psalms networks (songwriters, canvas artists, and filmmakers) met for our first combined event, drawing creators from many churches all across Tucson. The purpose was to promote collaboration and spark inspiration among artists from different mediums.

During the gathering, several members shared songs, paintings, and short films they created inspired by the prompt “Santa Cruz.” Santa Cruz means Holy Cross. Tucson is settled in the Santa Cruz Valley. The Santa Cruz River flows right through our city’s birthplace. It travels south to north. And although the river is mostly dry today, its banks have produced life over generations. It was powerful to hear and see all of the unique art inspired by that prompt!

If you’re a Christian songwriter, filmmaker, or canvas artist, and you’d like to be connected to one of our networks, send us a quick DM!

Already missing you, Carl. We’re heartbroken. It’s hard to believe you’re no longer with us. But we take comfort you’re with Jesus. You’ve received your inheritance. You’ve heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful friend.” And we find joy thinking about how you’re probably jamming with Ladelle and other amazing musical brothers and sisters who are there, too.
