Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder that mental health is an important part of overall well-being at every age.

For older adults, social connection, meaningful activities, access to support, and compassionate care can all play an important role in quality of life. Aging Life Care Professionals® help older adults and families navigate the challenges of aging with a person-centered approach.

Today, we encourage conversations that reduce stigma and remind us that mental health deserves care and attention throughout every stage of life.

Today is Ageism Awareness Day, a reminder that growing older is a natural part of life and every stage of life deserves respect.

Ageism can show up in assumptions, stereotypes, and decisions based on age. Recognizing these attitudes is an important step toward creating communities where older adults are valued, respected, and included.

We’re grateful for members and partners of the Aging Life Care Association who advocate for older adults and help ensure their voices remain at the center of care.
