🕯 𝟮𝟱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 🌹

Today marks 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟭. A quarter of a century has passed, yet we still hold the memories of that day close to our hearts. We pause to remember the innocent lives lost, the families forever changed and the extraordinary bravery of the first responders who risked everything.

As a sisterhood built on the pillars of 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, we look back on how the world came together in the days that followed. In the face of profound sorrow, we witnessed an outpouring of unity, kindness and love that reminded us of our shared humanity.

Today, let us honor the legacy of those we lost by recommitting ourselves to serving our communities, uplifting one another, and fostering peace wherever we can.

Today, Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority proudly recognizes and celebrates the hard work, dedication and contributions of workers across the United States and Canada. Labor Day (and Labour Day!) reminds us of the strength, resilience and unity that built our communities.

To our amazing sisters who pour their hearts into their professions, their families and our shared mission of service, thank you for everything you do to make the world a better, brighter place.

💛💙 Happy Founders' Day, Sisters! 💙💛
✨Today, we look back to when our story began, August 29, 1920. One hundred and six years ago today, five visionary women joined hands to create Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority. Today, we honor our five Life Founders. Their vision, wisdom and devotion continue to guide our sisterhood every single day. We remember the unique light each founder brought to our foundation:
Phyllis (Devotion) - The steady, wholehearted commitment to friendship and purpose that strengthens our bonds.
Edith (Generosity) - The open-hearted willingness to give of ourselves, our time and our talents.
Ferne (Balance) - The beautiful harmony of work, joy, service and reflection.
Violet (Fidelity) - The loyalty to our sisters and shared ideals. Like our sorority flower, she embodied modesty, grace and steadfastness.
Irene (Peace) - The calm we seek within ourselves and the genuine goodwill we extend to others.
Thank you to our Founders for paving the way for generations of sisterhood.

💜 Happy Women’s Equality Day! 💛

Today, the sisters of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority proudly celebrates Women’s Equality Day! 💜💛

On August 26, 1920, Secretary of State Bainbridge Colby officially certified the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ensuring the right to vote could no longer be denied on the basis of s*x. First championed as an official observance in 1971 by Congresswoman Bella Abzug, this day reminds us of the power of collective action, leadership and determination.

As a sorority dedicated to friendship, service and community, we honor the brave suffragists who fought for our constitutional voice. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering women everywhere and supporting ongoing efforts for equal opportunity in education, employment and civic participation.

Happy Friendship Day from Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority!

August is a special month for us. A time when we honor our founding, reflect on our shared history and celebrate the bonds that have shaped our sisterhood for generations. How fitting that Friendship Day arrives on the first Sunday of August.

To every sister, near and far, thank you for the laughter, the support, the service and the love you bring into our lives. Our Founders built Sigma Phi Gamma on the belief that friendship has the power to uplift communities and strengthen hearts. Today, we carry that legacy forward with pride.

May we continue to nurture the friendships that make our sorority extraordinary and may we always find new ways to share kindness, connection, and purpose with the world around us.
