Donating a kidney does not mean a lifetime of dietary restrictions. Donors can enjoy a normal life with a balanced diet and even moderate alcohol consumption! 😋

❌ Myth: If I donate a kidney, I’ll need pain medication for the rest of my life.

🙌 Reality: While it’s normal to need short-term pain relief after surgery, most living kidney donors recover fully and live healthy, active lives without ongoing pain medication.

Most donors return to work, exercise, and their daily routines within weeks without needing ongoing pain medication. Many share that giving the gift of life far outweighs the temporary recovery period.

One is all it takes, and for someone else, that one could be you.

Every day, people are waiting for a kidney transplant. Of the 101,000 Americans currently on the waiting list for a kidney, only 17,000 people receive one each year.

Becoming a living kidney donor means giving more than an organ. It means giving memories, milestones, and moments that might otherwise be missed.

It’s back to school season! 🎒📚 As kids head back to classrooms, new routines, and new challenges, we’re reminded of Erma Bombeck’s timeless wisdom:

✨ “A child needs your love the most when he deserves it the least.” ✨

Whether it’s a rough morning, a forgotten homework assignment, or a tough day on the playground - patience, understanding, and love go a long way.

Here’s to a school year filled with grace, growth, and plenty of hugs. 🧡
